Off-network stuff under the cut )

[A few minutes later, and Ryner and Rose reach the roof of the Goldenrod Inn. Figuring that Rose will find what she wants to show him and get his attention when she's found it, Ryner lazily pulls out his Pokégear and decides to turn it on, pointing the camera up toward the night sky.]

Ahh... With this many lights on all day and night, you can't really see the stars at all. I guess you can still see the moon, but... it kind of sucks, you know?

[And there's the moon in the shot, actually. A nice, thin waxing crescent, since the new one was two days ago.

He just decides to look at the night sky for a moment, though, trying to spot any brighter stars through the light pollution. ...Well, until he notices that something is brightly glowing on the railing. That something being Rose.

He's about to say something about how she isn't helping the matter of too much light, glowing like this -- but wait. Hold on. Bring the carriage backward a little. Glowing?

The camera is now pointed straight at Rose.

Why is she glowing?!?]

Rose?

[And glowing isn't all she does. She also grows to about double her size. And then, when the glowing dies down...]

["Clefairy!"

Ryner refrains from asking the obvious question of 'Is this supposed to happen?' Because guess what, this is Pokémon, it probably is supposed to happen, especially considering that other people have apparently had this happen with their partners, and he should be happy she didn't turn into something on fire or equally improbable. At least she just looks kind of like a bigger, more grown-up version of her previous form now.

He also refrains from asking 'how', because he's not going to get an answer no matter how hard he tries.

Instead, he quickly shakes off the speechlessness from his surprise.]

So, you wanted to show me your evolution, then?

["Fairy!" She turns around about a quarter of the way so she can show off her new mini wings, too, while still looking at Ryner to see his reaction.

And his reaction is a smile, though that's not shown by the camera.]
Congratulations, Rose.

["Clefairy!!" She's incredibly happy at his approval, leaping into his arms before he's ready for it.]

O-Oi! Warn me before you do that!

[And here's where the video shuts off.]
