Haaaaaa...

[A certain lazy mage is slumped over a table, head on his arms as though he could easily go to sleep right here, and probably desires to do just that and ignore the situation he's found himself in. There is a plate with several sticks of dango in the middle of this table, and a certain Clefairy is sitting on the opposite side of the table, happily eating said dango as though nothing is wrong.

There's something a little off, though... Before this weekend, wasn't he in Violet? Because this is clearly the Tranquil Square of the Goldenrod City Department Store.]

You know, losing three days? Not a problem. Usually, I'd be really happy I was able to sleep that long without being interrupted, you know? ...I know, I know, Rose, you don't like it when I sleep too much for your liking, you don't have to come over here and smack me as usual, I get it. Geeze.

["Fairy?" She ever-so-innocently and seamlessly turns her motion of getting up into one of reaching for another dango stick. Why, whatever could you mean, dear partner? Me, smack you for something like that? Never.

Not that Ryner's buying her innocent act, but whatever.]
But seriously! How did I wake up here again?! I really wasn't looking to come back to this bothersome city any time soon.

["Clefairy fair." Rose doesn't quite see what Ryner's problem with Goldenrod is, really.]

...Well, anyway. There's no way I'm sticking around more than a couple days this time. But there's not really any real reason to go back to Violet again right now, I guess... What's Ecruteak like, I wonder?
tearsofademon: (I can get by)
["Clefa~iry. Clefa~iry. Clefa~iry. Clefa~iry. Clefa~iry. Clefa~iry..."

By the looks of things, a certain lazy mage has turned the recording on while walking on Route 34. ...With his bag, which is a rare sight. He usually leaves that in his room in the inn.]

So, don't know if it would matter to anyone, really, but might as well say something...

["Clefa~iry. Clefa~iry. Clefa~iry. Clefa~iry. Clefa~iry. Clefa~iry..."

Rose is perched on his shoulder as usual. What isn't so usual is that she's waving her arms side to side and chanting like that.]

Rose and the rest and me, we're leaving Goldenrod, now that things are starting to get warmer.

["Clefa~iry. Clefa~iry. Clefa~iry. Clefa~iry. Clefa~iry. Clefa~iry..."

Ryner seems to be pointedly ignoring whatever she's doing. ...This is probably a bad idea.]

Finally. I'll never get used to a city like that. Everything's way too big, you know?

["Clefa~iry. Clefa~iry. Clefa~iry. Clefa~iry. Clefa~iry. Clefa~iry..."

He seems to be in step with her rhythm, though. As is Jehra, who's walking right next to him. The Absol has practically velcro-ed himself to Ryner's leg... well, to an extent that lets Ryner keep walking without discomfort, but.]

Dunno where we'll end up in the end, but we're heading toward Azalea first, anyway. Might as well see how you're actually supposed to get from Violet to Goldenrod... [As opposed to randomly waking up in a different place with no clue how you got there.]

["Clefairy!!"

And now whatever Rose was up to finishes, and she raises both her arms in triumph... before letting loose a stream of green air in front of her. (Rose used Metronome! Rose used DragonBreath!)

When she's done... well, you can't say she doesn't look proud of herself. Ryner slowly turns his head to face her - his expression had started out as startled, but he's hidden that behind a more neutral one at this point.]

Rose... Not that whatever that was wasn't impressive, but you don't suppose you could warn me first? You could have taken out my ear, you know.

["Fairy." As though that chanting wasn't warning enough that she was doing something.]

...Well, anyway. That's... pretty much all I wanted to say, so.

Off the network )

[It's a few minutes later before the video feed turns on, to show the aforementioned pile of pink eggs.]

All right, so... well. Rose laid some eggs, and I don't think I can take care of them all myself, and she seems to want me to sell them, so...

["Clefairy fairy!" And Rose pops up to remind Ryner that he should probably mention species information and the like.]

That's Rose, by the way. Clefairy is the evolved form - the eggs will hatch into Cleffas, which... well, they're similar, except smaller and not quite as developed yet. Normal type, but with the potential to learn lots of different kinds of attacks, I've noticed.

Anyway... P2000 each should be a good price, I guess, right? And no need to worry about delivery, either - Gail's agreed to do it, doesn't matter the distance. [The camera pans over to a Noctowl who's been sitting by the door, who with a "'Towl!" eagerly spreads his wings.]

So, if anyone's interested, please contact me, and... that's about it.

[[ooc: Interest post was here. Also, apologies in advance if tags are slow - notifications are hit and miss (usually miss) for some reason, and I'm admittedly a little distracted by my copy of White...]]

Off-network stuff under the cut )

[A few minutes later, and Ryner and Rose reach the roof of the Goldenrod Inn. Figuring that Rose will find what she wants to show him and get his attention when she's found it, Ryner lazily pulls out his Pokégear and decides to turn it on, pointing the camera up toward the night sky.]

Ahh... With this many lights on all day and night, you can't really see the stars at all. I guess you can still see the moon, but... it kind of sucks, you know?

[And there's the moon in the shot, actually. A nice, thin waxing crescent, since the new one was two days ago.

He just decides to look at the night sky for a moment, though, trying to spot any brighter stars through the light pollution. ...Well, until he notices that something is brightly glowing on the railing. That something being Rose.

He's about to say something about how she isn't helping the matter of too much light, glowing like this -- but wait. Hold on. Bring the carriage backward a little. Glowing?

The camera is now pointed straight at Rose.

Why is she glowing?!?]

Rose?

[And glowing isn't all she does. She also grows to about double her size. And then, when the glowing dies down...]

["Clefairy!"

Ryner refrains from asking the obvious question of 'Is this supposed to happen?' Because guess what, this is Pokémon, it probably is supposed to happen, especially considering that other people have apparently had this happen with their partners, and he should be happy she didn't turn into something on fire or equally improbable. At least she just looks kind of like a bigger, more grown-up version of her previous form now.

He also refrains from asking 'how', because he's not going to get an answer no matter how hard he tries.

Instead, he quickly shakes off the speechlessness from his surprise.]

So, you wanted to show me your evolution, then?

["Fairy!" She turns around about a quarter of the way so she can show off her new mini wings, too, while still looking at Ryner to see his reaction.

And his reaction is a smile, though that's not shown by the camera.]
Congratulations, Rose.

["Clefairy!!" She's incredibly happy at his approval, leaping into his arms before he's ready for it.]

O-Oi! Warn me before you do that!

[And here's where the video shuts off.]
