I'll never get it.

[Here, Johto and/or Kanto. Have a lazy mage, poking the network while sitting against a tree, on top of a blanket on the snowy ground. A Typhlosion is curled up by his side, so as to provide a nice warmth. Yay team campfire!]

Even though it's winter, even though it's really, really cold out here... Rose still insists that she wants to train. It's really troublesome, you know? It'd be really nice to just be like bears or something and hibernate inside until spring comes.

[He looks up toward the sky. Not that there's anything really interesting about gray clouds, but.]

Haa... Well, anyway. That holiday's coming up again soon, right? 'Christmas', or whatever it was called. I wonder if--

[...Hold that thought. Have you ever heard a Paras scream?

Well, if you're paying attention to this broadcast, you have now! Because there is a Paras, screaming as he glows with the light of evolution, as though this is the most painful thing he's ever had to go through.

It's not a very nice scream. Just like how water is just a little bit wet.]

--Aran!

[And now Ryner drops the Pokégear, which ends up partially buried in the snow, so there's nothing else that can be seen, but there's the sound of scrambling as Ryner runs over to where the Paras is to see what's wrong. Also the sound of various Pokémon looking over from what they were doing to see what's wrong - a Clefairy, an Absol, that Typhlosion, an Umbreon, and a Jigglypuff, if you're good at telling those things by voice.]

None of the others have ever started screaming like this when... Aran, hang in there! You don't have to evolve if you don't want to! So if you don't want to, then don't!

[Gradually, the screaming stops as the Paras' evolution is halted, leaving the poor mushroom-bug exhausted, sobbing a little.

Ryner is, understandably, worried about this.]

Is this why you haven't wanted to come outside in weeks... I'm bringing him back to the Center so the nurses can help him. Don't push yourselves too hard while I'm gone, okay?

["Fairy fair." Oh, Rose thinks that's enough for today anyway. And similar noises of assent from the others say that they've all decided to follow him back.]

...Guess you're all coming back with us, then? All right, I appreciate it.

[There's some crunching in the snow, and eventually the Pokégear is picked up. The camera gets the briefest view of a Paras who looks kind of feverish before the feed's turned off.]
tearsofademon: (when our tale was begun)
[Oh hi, it's a video from a certain lazy mage. A certain lazy mage who looks kind of irritatedly tired, but then, this is pretty typical for him.]

This is really troublesome, you know... Haa, well, Rose had eggs again. And this time, Jehra and Ren did too, not that I have any idea how, since they're both male...

["Dit!"

"Puff?"]

...Anyway, I can't take care of them all, so... I guess what I'm trying to say is I'd like to sell them to people who can and want to take care of them. Er... P1000 should be a good price, I guess, right? I can go lower, though, if it's too much.

[The camera pans first to a small group of pink eggs with a Clefairy standing happily next to them. "Fairy!" she says with a wave.]

That's Rose. She's a Clefairy - her eggs will hatch into Cleffas, which aren't quite as developed, but I think they evolve because of happiness...? They're Normal types, but they're able to learn lots of different types of abilities through TMs and the like.

[Next, it showcases a small group of grey eggs. An Absol is curled around them protectively, though he's not looking at the camera. His expression might be one of... embarrassment?]

Then there's Jehra. He's an Absol, and I don't think they evolve. At least, he never has... Absols are Dark type, and they mostly fight with the blades on their head. I've heard something like they're said to bring disaster or something, but it's nothing like that.

[And then, a small group of red eggs, sitting on top of a curled up, sleeping Typhlosion.]

And Ren is a Typhlosion, but his eggs should hatch into Cyndaquils, which are really just a smaller version. He's a Fire type, and he... well, he knows how to use fire abilities, which I guess is probably obvious...

["Ras!" That would be a sneeze somewhere off camera, which causes Ryner to briefly pause to look, but he does return to his message.]

So... yeah. Delivery shouldn't be a problem - I'll ask Gail, he'll probably love another chance to get out and stretch his wings. If anyone's interested, please contact me, and... that's about it, really.

[ooc: Interest post was here. There's still one Cleffa unclaimed if anyone's interested!]
tearsofademon: (I see your face and wonder)
[Tonight's video feed comes courtesy of a certain Typhlosion (he just evolved recently) who's laying on his stomach, pawing at it a little for the sake of it. He looks like he's quite enjoying being a campfire at the moment.]

So, if the map is right, we should get there in within the next couple days.

[That would be the voice of a certain lazy mage, just off camera behind the aforementioned Typhlosion. The cheerful "Fairy!" that follows is probably not unexpected, really.]

Not that I really know what you'd do at the beach, but I'm sure you have some idea, since that's where you wanted to go...

["Clefairy clef." Oh dear partner, the Clefairy says off camera as the Typhlosion yawns.

It's about here where there's the sound of a Paras sneezing, and the Typhlosion looks up, obviously startled. It's certainly an odd sound to hear.]

Mmm? Aran, you okay?

["Par!" The Paras responds with a cheerful yes. Of course he's okay. The fact that some Stun Spore came out with that sneeze was perfectly normal, and there's nothing to worry about, even though this has happened several times now tonight.]

...Huh.

[But then that topic is interrupted, for there's the bright glow of an egg hatching that can somehow be sort of seen past the Typhlosion's flames, even better when he moves so as to better record this moment on the camera. Turns out that Ryner's been sitting up against a tree, with Rose cuddled on one side (has she let go of him at all since the whole asleep for a week thing? Also, is that an Aloe Vera plant?) and Jehra on the other, his position indicating that he had been keeping the egg warm up until this point.

Mr. Lazy Mage doesn't really flinch at the hatching at this point, since he's hatched several eggs by now, but he does blink when the child turns out to be...

"Natu!"

...a green ball of feathers. That is certainly not a Hoothoot, there. Point that he's learned - it's probably the mother that passes on the species. Useful to know, that.]

...So that's where Gail went.
