Just quit it already!

[Today, courtesy of a certain Munna maneuvering the camera, the 'Gear is tuning in to... a lot of water getting thrown around. Mostly by a rather ticked-off Staryu, attempting to blast a Gyarados that's... kind of just grumpily and sleepily staring at the starfish as though to ask just what its problem is.

Meanwhile, a certain lazy mage is trying to get in the middle of this fight, getting kind of drenched in the process but more focused on stopping the Staryu.]

Seriously, what the hell? He didn't even do anything! If he was swimming in your stretch of water or something, you could've asked him to move, or something less bothersome than outright attacking him!

["Fairy!" Here comes Rose, to defend her dear partner and the Gyarados he's trying to protect.

"Clefairy fairy fair..." ...except she's not really thinking about the situation and this really is going to do more harm than good...]

W-Wait, Rose, don't use...!

["Clefairy!"

Rose used Thunderbolt! The good news is, it one-shots the Staryu!

...The bad news is, it also one-shots the poor Gyarados and leaves Ryner himself in a twitching heap on the beach.]

...why... did I teach... you that...

--can arrange the energy into various patterns in order to create phenomena. Lightning, fire, water, you know. Kind of like what you guys can do.

[The camera is turned on in the middle of what is apparently a magic lesson, being given by a certain lazy mage to... himself? Because there sure are two of him there.]

Dit!

[...Nevermind, the nodding one is actually a Ditto transformed into him. All right, carry on.]

So... well, I guess watch me, and then do what I do. If your transformation's that complete, you should be able to do it. But don't push yourself, all right?

[He seems pretty insistent on that.]

Ditto dit to. [The Ditto is of the opinion that that's a given at this point. They've only been over this several dozen times by now.

Though his expression betrays that he's not quite content with this, Ryner does, at this point, start casting a simple spell. One which it's not like his partners have never seen before, on other fourth wall days, in slightly different forms.]

What I seek is lightning... IZUCHI!

[And here comes a lightning bolt! That hits a nearby tree fairly harmlessly.]

Your turn, then, Elfy.

[The Ditto nods, and goes through the same motions. ...Are his eyes glowing red?]

Dit ditto di dit ditto... DITTO!

[Well, whether his eyes were glowing or not, it has the same lightning effect, and Ryner can't help but smile slightly despite himself.]

Ah, you've got it! That was really good.

Dit! Ditto dit!

Clefairy!

Twi~!"

[And now Rose leaps up into Elfy's arms, and the two of them twirl around together in happiness. This... might be a really weird sight to anyone who knows Ryner, but oh well.

...Oh, and yes, there's also a sentient candle following Ryner around today, also excited for Elfy's success. Not that Ryner seems too concerned about that part, specifically.]

[So a certain lazy mage is just outside the Ecruteak Pokémon Center at this point, and boy does he look as though he’s not thrilled by what’s going on.]

Haa… This is going to be really, really bothersome. But if it means that everyone ends up okay in the end, then I guess…

It’s bugging me, a little, the way he'd said that these are different from how Shedinja ‘naturally’ are – makes me wonder what the story is behind these, you know? But, well, everyone needs to be freed somehow, so I guess that doesn’t really matter right now, does it…

Well, anyway, um… If anyone wants to help us catch Shedinjas around Ecruteak, wouldn’t say no to the help, I guess. Not that I’d blame anyone who’d rather stay inside. I’d rather stay inside, this is a huge pain… Haa, but it'd be worse if everyone was stuck like that.

[His eyes narrow slightly as he decides to end his message with one more comment.] If you are going out there, though, no matter where you are… just, be careful, okay?

[The camera has a nice view today, from here under this tree on Route 34. And it's showing... is that that lazy mage who only likes sleeping, actually attempting to train his Pokémon (well, for varying definitions of the word 'train') for once? Amazing.]

WAAAARGH!!

[...Specifically, said lazy mage just got sent flying back about ten feet by his Cleffa's Magical Leaf attack. But he's okay, really! He just needs to catch his breath for a moment, but he's fine! In fact, he pushes himself back up just a couple seconds after landing.]

Ahh... Didn't realize how strong that would be. That... really is impressive, Rose.

["Cleffa?" Rose runs over to his side, wondering if he's okay. She didn't mean to hurt him, after all.]

I'm fine, don't worry. Takes a lot more than that to kill me. And even if I wasn't, I'm the one who asked you to go all out, remember?

[And once he makes it back up to his feet, he turns toward his Ditto.]

All right, your turn, Elfy.

["Ditto!" And Elfy uses Transform... into a copy of Ryner. The original facefaults a little.]

...Er... do you have to turn into me? That makes me kinda nervous about this, actually...

[The copy of Ryner looks at the original with a bit of a pouty face. Elfy likes Ryner's form. ...Specifically his clothes, but.

And Ryner just gives up and sighs.]

...All right, fine, but just this once.

[And the two Ryners start sparring. It might be a bit hard to keep track of which is which, but the original is mostly dodging and avoiding landing any hits himself. Which is the point - he's trying to see Elfy's strength, not win the fight.

After about a minute or so of this, there is a yawn of "Sooooooool" from behind the Pokégear - guess who's the one who turned it on in the first place, and who now turns it off.

Video responses will come after the Ryners have finished their little sparring match (but feel free to run into them in the middle of it if you're in the area if you want).]
