[He seems pretty insistent on that.]

Ditto dit to. [The Ditto is of the opinion that that's a given at this point. They've only been over this several dozen times by now.

Though his expression betrays that he's not quite content with this, Ryner does, at this point, start casting a simple spell. One which it's not like his partners have never seen before, on other fourth wall days, in slightly different forms.]

What I seek is lightning... IZUCHI!

[And here comes a lightning bolt! That hits a nearby tree fairly harmlessly.]

[The Ditto nods, and goes through the same motions. ...Are his eyes glowing red?]

[Well, whether his eyes were glowing or not, it has the same lightning effect, and Ryner can't help but smile slightly despite himself.]

Ah, you've got it! That was really good.

[And now Rose leaps up into Elfy's arms, and the two of them twirl around together in happiness. This... might be a really weird sight to anyone who knows Ryner, but oh well.

...Oh, and yes, there's also a sentient candle following Ryner around today, also excited for Elfy's success. Not that Ryner seems too concerned about that part, specifically.]

he grins when he sees the display-- it's both suitably impressive and heartwarming all at once, really. crossing the threshold and walking forth, he points with a finger nonchalantly. in his best mage-goice: ]

[Well, so much for sneaking away quietly and not being noticed. With a bit of a terrified squeak, Elfy is just going to dive behind the closest tree now, clinging to it quivering and peeking out ever so slightly and timidly just to make sure she can't sneak up on him.

Ryner is just going to stare questioningly. Not that he blames Elfy for being scared of Ferris, but this kind of reaction implies...]

[Elfy shakes his head quickly and obviously. He didn't do anything like that! He and Rose were just having s'mores, that's all!

And, well, Ryner knows that Ferris is probably just being Ferris, so instead of addressing whether her accusation is true or not, he's just going to bring his hand to his forehead and sigh.]

This is Elfy. He's a Ditto - they're a kind of Pokémon that can turn into others, and... well, he especially likes turning into me, for some reason.

Indeed, that is a mystery.

Isn't it? You'd think he'd rather turn into someone who isn't a worthless layabout like me.

["Dit..." Elfy, still clinging to that tree for dear life, is of the opinion that Ryner isn't worthless, and besides, his uniform is the coolest thing ever.]

Not only that, but the fathers of those girls you assaulted might mistake him for you, exacting their vengeance against him instead of the true criminal.

[sigh] Haa, but something like that, anyway. It'd be a huge pain if someone mistook him for me.
