[Ryner is sitting at the desk in his room in the Goldenrod Inn, poking lazily at a map of Johto. Another blizzard, this time of year, would be really unlikely, plus if one does somehow happen Ren's around to help out with keeping everyone warm now, so there's really no real reason to stick around much longer in this city.

The main question is, where do we go from here? There really isn't much reason to go back to Violet City at this point... but then, there really isn't much reason to go in any direction over the others, is there... Ah, this really kind of sucks, you know? If this was back in Roland or one of the neighboring countries, then I would be wandering around looking for Hero Relics or running some other sort of bothersome errand to help that guy out. Here I don't even have that to go off of. And yet Rose won't let me just sleep time away like I want to, so I have to at least do something...

Such is the approximate train of Ryner's thoughts... until they're interrupted by something being plopped into his lap.]

Mmm?

[...A smooth, oval-ish, pink something... that upon further inspection appears to be an egg. And Rose is standing there by his chair, looking up at him with the most innocent 'I'm so proud of myself' expression that you could ever see. And looking past her... there are five more of them over in the corner there, aren't there.

Ryner might be lazy, but he's not stupid. He can put two and two together.]

Rose...

["Clef!" You're proud of me, right, dear partner? ^______^]

...Well, while it's pretty amazing how you were able to lay eggs... How am I supposed to take care of them all?

["Fairy." She rolls her eyes - silly dear partner - and motions toward Ren, who's currently curled up on the pillow on the bed, fast asleep.]

...You want me to sell them?!

[Nodnod.]

Why would you actually want--o-okay fine, I'll do it, geeze, don't start attacking me when I'm holding an egg, do you want it to break?!

[It's a few minutes later before the video feed turns on, to show the aforementioned pile of pink eggs.]

All right, so... well. Rose laid some eggs, and I don't think I can take care of them all myself, and she seems to want me to sell them, so...

["Clefairy fairy!" And Rose pops up to remind Ryner that he should probably mention species information and the like.]

That's Rose, by the way. Clefairy is the evolved form - the eggs will hatch into Cleffas, which... well, they're similar, except smaller and not quite as developed yet. Normal type, but with the potential to learn lots of different kinds of attacks, I've noticed.

Anyway... P2000 each should be a good price, I guess, right? And no need to worry about delivery, either - Gail's agreed to do it, doesn't matter the distance. [The camera pans over to a Noctowl who's been sitting by the door, who with a "'Towl!" eagerly spreads his wings.]

So, if anyone's interested, please contact me, and... that's about it.

[Usually, this would be where he would say something about how her looks are deceiving and she's actually like a demon in training. But he stops himself - the behavior of the parent doesn't dictate that of the child, after all. No reason to assume that all of Rose's kids will be just like her.]
