That Character Survey

Body and Appearance
1. Describe the character's height and build. Is he heavyset, thin, short, rangy?
Ryner is taller than is average for his age. He’s also rather skinny. It’s hard to see under his robes, but his skinniness is not the healthiest. It’s not like he’s drastically unhealthily skinny, either, but he doesn’t have that much meat on him. (He doesn’t take care of himself as well as he could.)

2. How old is he?
His exact age is difficult to pinpoint, considering that he doesn’t remember what is estimated to be the first five years of his life, but as of episode 16, he’s about 19 years old, 19 and a half-ish maybe.

3. Describe his posture. Does he carry himself well or does he slouch?
He doesn’t have the greatest posture. He always carries himself somewhat sluggishly, as though he would much rather be asleep than doing whatever it is he’s doing. Which, of course, is true.

4. How is his health? Is he fit or out of shape? Any illnesses or conditions? Any physical disabilities?
Surprisingly, he’s actually rather fit. You wouldn’t think so, especially because he’s a) incredibly lazy and b) a mage (they tend to be squishy), but it kind of helps that he grew up forced to train as an assassin. No disabilities or illnesses to speak of.

5. How does he move? Is he clumsy, graceful, tense, fluid?
When he’s actually paying attention to what he’s doing (ie. in a combat situation or something of the sort), Ryner does move rather gracefully, though it’s less particularly graceful and more where to go in order to avoid getting badly hurt. Outside of those situations, though, he’s not exactly the most graceful person in the world. It’s not that he’s particularly clumsy, but…

6. How attractive is this character physically? How does he perceive himself in the mirror?
Ryner perceives himself as a hideous monster, only capable of destroying things. Hence, he doesn’t really like the image he sees in the mirror, and he doesn’t particularly care about improving how he looks to others. Does that mean he actually is hideous? No. If he cleaned himself up just a little, he would be incredibly handsome, and even without that, he’s definitely not hideous.

7. Describe his complexion. Dark, light, clear, scarred?
Fairly light and clear.

8. Describe his hair: color, texture, style.
Dark brown, close to black. He never brushes it, so it always looks like he just got out of bed. It’s not quite as long as some men in the series keep their hair *cough*Sion*cough*Miran*cough*, but it’s not particularly short either, because he doesn’t really bother to cut it often.

9. What color are his eyes?
Also dark brown, close to black, always sleepy-looking. His eyes are also special in that, due to his Alpha Stigma, they have a pentacle pattern overlaid on top of them. When inactive, it’s more of a blue-ish color and hard to see unless you’re specifically staring closely at his eyes (and even then it’s questionable whether it’s actually visible then or not), but when active, the pentacles glow red and are quite visible. When berserk, that glow is even brighter and kind of extends past the eyes…

10. Does the character have any other noteworthy features?
Mmm, his eyes are the most noteworthy, really.

11. What are his chief tension centers?
Probably his back and shoulders, really…

12. What is the character's wardrobe like? Casual, dressy, utilitarian? Bright colors, pastels, neutrals? Is it varied, or does he have six of the same suit?
Most of the time, Ryner wears robes. He is a mage, after all. Going layer by layer from the inside out: He wears light brown slacks and dark brown boots that go almost up to his knees. On top of that, he wears a basic teal-green robe, with a long belt that is half red, half blue, and manages to be so long that it twists down his legs. And then on top of that, he wears a special garment given to the magic knights of Roland. It’s a piece of light, white armor that is resistant to damage and can even withstand scorching flames. It also involves a long, dark blue cloak that extends nearly to the ground, as well as a short white cloak with a red hem. And attached to the top cloak is the insignia of Roland, which is essentially a snake entwined around a winged spear.

13. Do his clothes fit well? Does he seem comfortable in them?
Well enough that he doesn’t complain about them. He seems rather comfortable, actually.

14. Does he dress the same on the job as he does in his free time? If not, what are the differences?
Well, when he isn’t traveling and is just staying inside all day, he doesn’t tend to wear the outer garment and cloaks.

15. You knew it was coming: Boxers, briefs or commando?
I should assume boxers (and not that this really counts for much, but Ferris’ wild fantasies agree)…

Speech
1. What does this character's voice sound like? High-pitched, deep, hoarse?
His seiyuu is Jun Fukuyama. I’ve heard he’s a bit famous. Something about some guy named Lelouch…

2. How does he normally speak? Loud, soft, fast, evenly? Does he talk easily, or does he hesitate?
He’s loud when he wants to be (usually when he’s complaining), he’s quiet when he wants to be. Usually he talks fairly quickly, though. Sometimes a little too quickly for his own good, causing him to use ‘um’ and the like a lot, but.

3. Does the character have a distinct accent or dialect? Any individual quirks of pronunciation? Any, like, you know, verbal tics?
Nothing in particular that I can pick out.

4. What language/s does he speak, and with how much fluency?
His native language is the one that’s spoken on the continent of Menoris. (Spoken it’s hard to say what it’s like because just because the anime has them speaking in Japanese means little, but written it’s basically English with different symbols for the letters, and slightly… odd grammar.) If he ever had the motivation, though, he could probably pick up any language easily.

5. Does he switch languages or dialects in certain situations?
There’s little reason to, since everyone seems to speak the same language on Menoris regardless of country…

6. Is he a good impromptu speaker, or does he have to think about his words?
He sometimes winds up using ‘um’ and the like a lot, but he’s not bad at it, usually.

7. Is he eloquent or inarticulate? Under what circumstances might this change?
He’s more articulate when he’s in a situation where he’s specifically paying attention and completely 100% serious, usually.

Mental and Emotional
1. How intelligent is this character? Is he book-smart or street-smart?
He’s incredibly intelligent, considered a genius by many. Granted, he tries to hide this, and doesn’t show off his intelligence often, but he could pretty much do anything he set his mind to, in terms of intellectual pursuits. Especially in magic – even without his Alpha Stigma, he’d probably be a brilliant mage, though perhaps without the same repertoire of spells. The main thing that limits him is his complete lack of motivation.

2. Does he think on his feet, or does he need time to deliberate?
If he couldn’t think on his feet, he’d be dead several times over by now.

3. Describe the character's thought process. Is he more logical, or more intuitive? Idealistic or practical?
He’s really more intuitive than anything, his exact train of thought really depending on the situation at hand. It usually includes the implication that whatever is going on is a pain in the rear end, though. On the idealism vs practicality scale, he’s actually surprisingly optimistic when he wants to be, but with the world he lives in, he’s kind of forced to be more practical more often than not.

4. What kind of education has the character had?
Military school, mostly. He trained for a year under Germer Kleisrole (from the little bit I’ve seen of her, she is an awesome woman), then wound up in Roland Special Institute #307. He also wound up in the Hidden Elites for a while, but when the war ended and that was discontinued, he was transferred to the Royal Special Military Academy.

5. What are his areas of expertise? What, if anything, is he interested in learning more about?
The thing that he is best at is undoubtedly magic – when they call him Roland’s Strongest Magician, they mean it. The thing is, though, there’s little that he’d be learning more about, because there’s little that catches his interest in the first place because he’s so unmotivated.

6. Is he an introvert or an extrovert?
More introverted than anything. It’s not that he’s antisocial or dislikes talking to people or anything, but he doesn’t open up to others very easily.

7. Describe the character's temperament. Is he even-tempered or does he have mood swings? Cheerful or melancholy? Laid-back or driven?
In a word, lazy. If his sleep is disrupted, he gets incredibly grumpy. Aside from that, though, he’s fairly even tempered unless you do something to piss him off.

8. How does he respond to new people or situations? Is he suspicious, relaxed, timid, enthusiastic?
He tends to be fairly neutral toward them, until he decides whether they’re a good thing or a bad thing. Good things he stays neutral toward, because good things tend to turn bad eventually in his experience – people who act friendly tend to eventually decide to kill him, good situations are inevitably ruined by someone else, stuff like that. Bad things he tends to vocally complain about – they’re always such a pain.

9. Is he more likely to act, or to react?
With his lazy attitude? React.

10. Which is his default: fight or flight?
He tends more toward running away from his problems. He thinks it’s the option that will hurt less people. In reality, it’s also because he’s afraid of being hurt, and it tends to wind up hurting others anyway, but as of episode 16, he hasn’t realized this yet.

11. Describe the character's sense of humor. Does he appreciate jokes? Puns? Gallows humor? Bathroom humor? Pranks?
What sense of humor he has is a rather dry one. He’s unlikely to pull it out except among his friends, but he does find it somewhat funny to feign death poorly. “No response – it appears to be a corpse.” comes to mind. He takes Sion and Ferris’ banter and tends to either react like they want him to or fire it right back, depending on its exact nature.

12. Does the character have any diagnosable mental disorders? If yes, how does he deal with them?
Nothing diagnosed. He’s obviously got some form of depression at the very least – you try being told you were a monster by 99% of the people in the world ever since you can remember, see how you come out – but it hasn’t been specifically diagnosed, so.

13. What moments in this character's life have defined him as a person?
There are a few, but the one that comes to mind first is when Sion insisted that he wanted Ryner on his team, despite having done his research and knowing (unlike everyone else at the Academy) about his Alpha Stigma. Sion is the one who gave him a reason to think that maybe his life might be worth living.

14. What does he fear?
Going berserk and killing everyone he cares about. The fact that it’s not an unfounded fear and has, in fact, happened multiple times does not help.

15. What are his hopes or aspirations?
His greatest wish is to live in a world where everyone is happy and he can’t hurt anyone. That’s why he helps Sion, aside from them essentially being best friends – Sion honestly thinks he can create such a world.

16. What is something he doesn't want anyone to find out about him?
Well, him being an Alpha Stigma bearer is high on the list…

Relationships
1. Describe this character's relationship with his parents.
As of episode 16, here is what he knows: He is an orphan. He is of the opinion that probably either his parents abandoned him when they learned he was an Alpha Stigma bearer, or he wound up accidentally killing them when he went berserk before he can remember.

Here, in the white text, is what I understand from my research. Obviously, SPOILERS for things that haven’t been covered in the anime yet. TL;DR, what he thinks he knows is more or less wrong.

[His father is Lieral Lieutolu, head of what was once Roland’s most prestigious magical noble family. His mother is Iruna Lieutolu, a commoner who Lieral fell in love with, which was a big deal, because Lieral’s only love was magic until he met Iruna. They were a happy family, and the two of them loved their son very much.

Then they learned that their son had the Alpha Stigma. Iruna was devastated and blamed herself, thinking that it was her commoner blood mixing with that of nobles that caused this. She even planned to kill their son and herself in order to make amends. But Lieral wouldn’t allow it, and delved into his studies in order to find some way, any way, to save his beloved family. This caused him to learn of the Goddesses, the Hero, and most importantly, the Demon. And, not caring that in doing so he was probably messing the world up irreparably, he split the Demon in half and implanted the Solver of All Equations/Formulas/Whatever half into his son, who took on the Solver’s name, Ryner. In order to prevent Ryner from being devoured by a beast called Alpha that existed specifically to devour the Solver (I think), he infused Iruna with magic, and she became the sacrifice to protect him. And then some kind of pact with the Goddesses was made that caused Ryner to lose his memories of the first five years of his life – I haven’t found all of the details on that part, but. Something like that, at least.
]

2. Does the character have any siblings? What is/was their relationship like?
Only child.

3. Are there other blood relatives to whom he is close? Are there ones he can't stand?
None that have been mentioned.

4. Are there other, unrelated people whom he considers part of his family? What are his relationships with them?
I’m not sure if he’d really count them as such, but in a way, he’s sort of unofficially adopted Arua and Kuku… Though, he’s more of Arua’s teacher than anything.

5. Who is/was the character's best friend? How did they meet?
He’s got two.

“If I have to give a reason? It’s because I like your eyes.”

Sion Astal: Bastard son of the king and a commoner, Sion also attended the Royal Special Military Academy. Sion’s strengths are tactics and charisma, and he always does all of his research before heading into battle. Hence, when he learned that there was going to be a field exercise where the class was going to be split into teams, he sought out the students who he felt would be the most advantageous to have on his team. One of them was Ryner, because he had learned, through his research (into what files the military had – he has royal connections, remember), that Ryner is an Alpha Stigma bearer, and rather than hate him for this, he felt that such a person could be advantageous to have on his side, and decided to befriend him. Notably, he was the first person to do this.

Sion is the person who gave Ryner a reason to live, because he believed in him despite – nay, somewhat because of – his Alpha Stigma, which most everyone else considered monstrous. He dreamed of becoming king himself and erasing the corruption from Roland, in order to create a world where everyone could be happy, the kind of world Ryner would want to live in. And even after the incident with the Estabul magic knights in which Sion got to see just why Ryner didn’t want to use his power, he still thought of Ryner as his friend and even sought to break him out of prison despite how it would lower his own standing in the eyes of the people. When Sion later became king and freed Ryner from prison, Ryner started working for him. …Admittedly not completely willingly, because yeah lazy, but it’s not like he’s completely against it either. If it’s a world Sion makes, Ryner would be content living in it, and so he’ll help him in that goal.

Oh, by the way, Sion has… problems. [Like all kings of Roland, he made a pact with the Hero, Aslude Roland. (Or Asruld. I think Funi’s subs said Aslude way back in episode 4 though. Spell it how you want, I can tell who you’re talking about.) Essentially, Sion is the Hero. The Hero needs to eventually devour the Demon in order to save the world. Ryner is half of the Demon. See the problem?] But Ryner doesn’t know this, so.

“As a lazy sloth who finds everything to be a pain, and as the timid person that you are, I highly doubt that you could ever possibly kill me.”

Ferris Eris: Elder daughter (and middle child) of the Eris clan of swordsfolk who protect the royal family of Roland. Hers is a messed up family (to put it mildly), which is not opposed to such measures as inbreeding among siblings in order to propagate strength from one generation to the next. In fact, despite her great strength by most sane standards, Ferris was actually considered a failure by her parents. Happily for her sake and that of her younger sister Iris, their older brother Lucile is head of the family now that their parents are dead, and he cares about Ferris above all else. (I just won’t go into how they died here.)

Due to the hellish training that she underwent while growing up, Ferris’ emotions are very underdeveloped and were, for the most part, locked away. However, she’s started slowly regaining them ever since she started traveling with Ryner – this happened, by the way, because she was asked to accompany him in his travels by Sion, and threatened that the Wynnit chain of dango shops, makers of her absolute favorite food in the entire world, would be destroyed if she didn’t. She is there partially to help protect him, but mostly to make sure he keeps actually doing work and doesn’t disappear somewhere and start slacking off, and she does so by hitting him with her sword whenever he’s being lazy or pissing her off.

They make a wonderful pair when working together in battle. They have quite the conversations when they’re not fighting – she constantly accuses him of various perverted acts that he would never do, for the most part, and he gets suitably riled up and irritated by these comments (even if he starts playing along later). It could be said that teasing Ryner is the first time Ferris has ever really gotten to have fun, and their interactions have started to slowly allow her emotions to develop more. In fact, she rather likes him as more than a friend, even if he’s oblivious.

6. Does he have other close friends?
Kiefer Knolles: She was his classmate back at the Academy, along with Sion. A brilliant student, who was constantly trying to prod him into actually doing something and not just sleeping all day. In reality, she mostly hung out with him at first because he was someone she didn’t feel she had to be on guard around – she was originally a spy from Estabul who had been caught by Roland’s military and forced to become a double agent or else her younger sister would be killed (of course, what she didn’t know is that she was dead anyway, but). But despite her being forced to betray the class and get everyone killed (Ryner, Sion, and Kiefer only survived because the Magic Knights decided that it would be a great idea to make the local Alpha Stigma bearer go berserk, yes, obviously, and Sion happened to know that this Alpha Stigma bearer happened to be able to return from insanity, thankfully), Ryner even gave up his own freedom in exchange for hers. She has a bit of a crush on him (again, he’s oblivious), doesn’t think of him as a monster despite nearly being choked to death by him when he went berserk, and is currently in Gastark researching the Alpha Stigma and what might be able to be done to help him. He hasn’t seen her since he was imprisoned, so…

Milk Callaud: She was also an orphan, and she and Ryner went to Roland Special Institute #307 together. [Apparently, he went berserk there once, and she’s the one who brought him back that time. ] She was then adopted into the Callaud family, given hellish training there, and eventually became the leader of the Taboo Breaker Pursuit Squadron. Their mission: to stop mages from leaving Roland without permission and spreading Roland’s magic around. Of course, this gets problematic when they don’t know that Ryner has permission/have other orders that Milk doesn’t know about, but. Despite how Ryner claims not to remember her, Milk remembers him, and he’s in fact the reason why she kept living her life, so. She’s convinced that he’s being forced into following Ferris’ wishes (which is only half true), and looks out for him. She means well, even if she tends to fire lightning at him when she gets the wrong idea in her head and thinks he’s doing something he’s not, but. SPOILER: [Oh, also? She’s apparently the human reincarnation of the Goddess of Reincarnation, the only Goddess who sided with the Hero and the Demon because she admired their love for one another. Interpret this how you will.]

Arua: A six year old boy from Runa who happens to have the Alpha Stigma. When this was discovered (because he was trying to protect his best friend Kuku after her parents were killed by tax collecting soldiers), he was captured, and Runa’s magic knights attempted to experiment on him to force him to go berserk. Brilliant idea. Wound up killing the poor kid’s parents too, and Arua would have gone berserk after his father’s murder had Ryner not been incredibly pissed off at the magic knights and staged a rescue. After Kuku was kidnapped by Sui and Kuu (who wanted to obtain the crystallized version of Arua’s AS), Ryner took Arua in as his student, and they rescued Kuku together. After that, since the two of them have nowhere else to go, they were sent back to live at the Eris Estate in Roland. Arua looks up to Ryner as a teacher, and Ryner thinks it actually feels somewhat good to have a student, really. It’s also refreshing, for him, to have an Alpha Stigma bearer around who doesn’t have blood on his hands.

7. Does he make friends easily, or does he have trouble getting along with people?
It’s not that he has particular trouble getting along with people, when he’s not in a particularly lazy mood. It’s letting others get close to him that’s the difficult part.

8. Which does he consider more important: family or friends?
It’s kind of hard for family to be that important when he doesn’t have any that he remembers. His few friends, however, he would give up everything for. His friends are, essentially, what family he has, in a way.

9. Is the character single, married, divorced, widowed? Has he been married more than once?
Single and not looking.

10. Is he currently in a romantic relationship with someone other than a spouse?
Despite what Ferris might accuse him of, no.

11. Who was his first crush? Who is his latest?
See, he kind of avoids that entirely. He’s probably not completely uninterested, but he subconsciously suppresses any of those desires entirely – he’s of the belief that he’s a monster with stained hands who can’t reach out to anyone, after all, and anyone that he tried to love would just get hurt. (This doesn’t stop the shippers from shipping him with Ferris and/or Sion, of course. [And apparently Ryner and Sion are canon anyway, or so I hear, but…])

12. What does he look for in a romantic partner?
It’s hard to say, considering that he avoids those.

13. Does the character have children? Grandchildren? If yes, how does he relate to them? If no, does he want any?
Despite Ferris’ wild claims, no, he does not have any children.

14. Does he have any rivals or enemies?
It’s not like he goes looking for trouble – trouble is bothersome. It’s just that trouble tends to find him. He’s Roland’s Greatest Magician, first of all – any enemy of Roland’s that he comes across is probably going to wind up attacking him. Then, pretty much anyone who finds out about his Alpha Stigma tends to try to kill him because of the general belief that such equates to him being a monster that must be killed.

As for specific people, he’s had multiple run-ins with Miran Frouade, who actually technically works for Sion (not that Ryner knows this) but tends to work on his own for various reasons and who decided for a while there that Ryner needed to die. (Even if, you know, that gets fixed, partially, as of episode 22.) Luke Stokkart and the rest of the Taboo Breaker Pursuit Squadron were ordered to kill him if he should go berserk or turn traitor (which he only learns at the end of episode 16 thanks to Luke passing the order off as a birthday invitation, the jerk), so Luke kind of counts, except not. The Orla siblings from Gastark also qualify as enemies, considering that their goal is to gouge out the eyes of any Magic Eye bearers they come across, naturally including Ryner’s AS. (Sui’s a hypocritical jerk. Lir’s just plain rude. Kuu at least cares about her brother, but that doesn’t stop the fact that she’s not a nice girl.)

And then there are Sion’s problems…

15. What is the character's sexual orientation? Where does he fall on the Kinsey scale?
He kind of suppresses all of that, again. If it wasn’t suppressed, I’d stick him at probably a 1.5 or a 2, which is to say, if you want to ship him with Sion, be my guest, and I can’t say I don’t support you in your endeavors.

16. How does he feel about sex? How important is it to him?
Despite Ferris’ accusations, it is not important to him in the least.

17. What are his turn-ons? Turn-offs? Weird bedroom habits?
How should I know?

Beliefs
1. Do you know your character's astrological (zodiac of choice) sign? How well does he fit type?
His birthday is unknown (as far as I know, but why would he know it? I mean, the only thing he remembers of the first five years of his life is his name). If I had to assign him one based on his personality, I think he might be a Cancer, possibly born in a year of the Ram, if such things apply to his world.

2. Is this character religious, spiritual, both, or neither? How important are these elements in his life?
Roland has no specific religion to speak of, I’m pretty sure. Sure, there are Goddesses, but most people don’t know they exist. And Ryner isn’t the type to go seeking to have religion in his life. In fact, he seems rather peeved at what little organized religion is seen. Now, granted, Runa’s magic knights are over-zealously religious bastards who think that Alpha Stigma bearers are evil demons who must be slain despite the one in question being a six year old boy who has done nothing wrong, but. He can’t accept a God who would scorn him simply because of the way he was born.

3. Does this character have a personal code of morals or ethics? If so, how did that begin? What would it take to compromise it?
He hates it when anyone dies. Anyone. Even the guy who was trying to kill an innocent girl thirty seconds ago, he will save if a third party comes in to kill them. He’ll beat people up if he gets pissed off enough, but he doesn’t want to kill. (His Alpha Stigma has the opposite view, but he doesn’t like it when that gets out…)

4. How does he regard beliefs that differ from his? Is he tolerant, intolerant, curious, indifferent?
As long as your beliefs don’t wind up hurting people, you can believe in the ice cream goddess on the other side of the moon who wears pink and purple polka dots for all he cares. If your views are hurtful to anyone, however, he won’t approve. Especially if they have to do with Magic Eyes.

5. What prejudices does he hold? Are they irrational or does he have a good reason for them?
Everyone will someday hate him and/or try to kill him once they find out he’s an Alpha Stigma bearer. Even his best friends. He knows deep down that even Sion will someday try to kill him for this reason. [Of course, while he’s right that Sion will someday try to kill him, he’s wrong about why…] I don’t think I have to explain where this came from, if you’ve come this far.

Daily Life
1. What is the character's financial situation? Is he rich, poor, comfortable, in debt?
He’s comfortable. It helps that his best friend is the king, and he therefore has the financial support of the country of Roland (to the extent that the budget allows, of course).

2. What is his social status? Has this changed over time, and if so, how has the change affected him?
He started out as an orphan with the Alpha Stigma. Then he became a member of the Hidden Elites, which were basically the secret assassins of Roland’s military, feared in the underground but otherwise fairly unknown. Then he was the least popular kid in school because he was so lazy. Then he was a prisoner who knew he’d probably be sentenced to death at some point (though he and the prison guard got along well). Now he’s a Magic Knight of Roland, more or less, which gives him a status outside his country that depends on the current relations among countries, more or less. Most people in Roland think on the positive side of neutral of him. …Until they find out about his Alpha Stigma, anyway, at which point the whispers of “Monster” usually start…

3. Where does he live? House, apartment, trailer? Is his home his castle or just a place to crash? What condition is it in? Does he share it with others?
He kind of doesn’t have an actual home, per se. Sure, he considers Roland as a country to be his home, but that’s mostly because that’s where he grew up, and it’s too big to really qualify for the question. When he’s not traveling, he generally stays at an inn, though he has mostly free run of Roland Castle, too. And since Sion doesn’t actually use his bed much…

4. Besides the basic necessities, what does he spend his money on?
Not much, really. He’s not one to really go for anything like that. (Granted, ‘necessity’ basically means ‘anything Ferris wants so that she doesn’t kill him’, which usually translates to ‘dango, dango, and more dango’.)

5. What does he do for a living? Is he good at it? Does he enjoy it, or would he rather be doing something else?
He is essentially directly employed under the King of Roland. What he asks him and Ferris to do, they do – usually, they go traveling and doing research about Hero Relics, though when they’re not traveling, it’s usually helping with the paperwork and such. It’s tolerable, for the most part, because the king is his best friend. Not that he wouldn’t rather be sleeping, though.

6. What are his interests or hobbies? How does he spend his free time?
He sleeps whenever he gets the opportunity. If he’s not allowed to, he doesn’t mind reading, most of the time. His friends don’t really let him have that much free time, though…

7. What are his eating habits? Does he skip meals, eat out, drink alcohol, avoid certain foods?
He doesn’t skip meals, but he doesn’t exactly eat extravagantly either. If it’s just him, he has no problem with just dried potatoes and bread.

Associations
Which of the following do you associate with the character, or which is his favorite:

1. Color? I kind of associate him with blue. In other ways, he could probably be associated with black. His Alpha Stigma is red.
2. Smell? …Honestly, freshly cut grass. I don’t know why.
3. Time of day? Afternoon. Perfect time for a nap.
4. Season? Summer
5. Book? I read something somewhere about his favorite book at one point being called “The Story of the Hero”.
6. Music? Classical stuff, definitely. Especially the Surprise Symphony.
7. Place? A dark library.
8. Substance? Um…
9. Plant? Lilies.
10. Animal? an anthill, which you should not muck with Uh… maybe a bear? Though, there was his friend the spider.
