Nothing like that, but... well, if one country managed to gather a lot of those relics, that would give them a lot of power. They could easily wipe out entire armies or villages in a single night, if they wanted to. So other countries wouldn't want to declare war on them, in order to avoid that. And as long as that power is held by a responsible king who works toward peace instead of war...
