Okay, you know something?

[A certain lazy mage is grumpily sitting up in a tent right now, shivering a little and positively drenched. There's a Clefairy leaning up against his side, wrapped in a towel. The rain batters hard against the outside of the tent, though perhaps not as hard as it could - trees do tend to give a little bit of extra shelter against the wind and rain. Not much, mind, but a little.]

There are Pokémon that can control the weather, right? I'm just thinking, maybe a bunch of them caused this storm because they got so pissed off at all the crap in the cities. It's possible, right? I mean, well, I guess it could just be a coincidence, too, but...

...Haa, well, either way, it's just my luck that we'd get a bothersome storm every time I go through this forest, isn't it. This really sucks.

[Half of him is in awe, at that roar. They are standing a few feet away from one of the legendary beasts. This just doesn't happen. Even seeing the dragon-bird flying through the sky a year ago, that wasn't as up close as this. So cool... :O

The other half is properly terrified, because here they are encountering one of the legendary beasts. If it wanted to fry them all to a crisp, it could certainly do it. Especially in this weather--no, he's pretty sure it's helping to cause this weather without batting an eyelid. It's that strong.

Either way, he'll just stand here, silent, frozen in place, hand still grabbing Sion's arm, all thoughts about what to do scattered by the beast's roar.]

*is just wordlessly staring, there's something so very obviously different about this, compared to any other pokemon he's seen before. It's not the first time Sion's encountered something so powerful... but it is a first here in Johto, and when he's so powerless, himself

He almost thinks he should say something, but before he can think of what to say that deafening roar cuts those thoughts short*

[Content with having awed, having made its point, Raikou's great jaws snap shut, and the click of teeth on air is the last sound before the rest of the word comes back in sharp focus, crashing rain and howling wind.

Its body moves, all fluid grace and elegance, and away it goes, racing, flying over the ground. One bound, two, three--and it is gone.

In its wake is left nothing but the scent and taste of lightning-burnt grass, and a vague impression of blessing.]

[A few moments pass after Raikou's departure, at which point Jehra visibly relaxes.

Also, Ryner finds that he's been forgetting to breathe. One or two larger than normal gasps of air take care of that, though.]

*is staring off in the direction Raikou fled, one hand idly stroking Dusk where she's come over by his side*

["Fair..." Rose, who has been clinging to Ryner's shoulder the whole time, finally breaks the silence. She, for one, thought that was awesome.]

...Well, ah... that was something.

That was one of the "legendary" ones, wasn't it?

Yeah, pretty sure it was.

*...just still staring after it for a bit*

...I suppose we'd better get back inside.

[ Pokémon causing the storm? That's something Hikaru hadn't thought of and she doubts the Pokémon are happy about what's been going on in the cities. The ones she's seen in the cities haven't been particularly happy either, so she can only imagine how the ones in the wilds are feeling. ]

Do you really think the Pokémon could be causing the storm? They can really control the weather like this?

[ She pauses, frowning as she looks at the man and his Clefairy moer closely now. She had before, but it's really hitting her just how bad off they are now. ]

Is there anything I can do to help?

[Should we assume this happens before or after the above thread with Raikou?]

Some of them can. Most wouldn't be able to do it to this extent, though...

Ahh, we'll be fine though, I think. Wouldn't be the first time roughing it in bad weather.

[ Let's roll with before, unless you'd like to roll with after? I'm good with either! ]

I didn't know that. The Pokédex says some Pokémon can do some really amazing things, though, so maybe a group is behind the storm.

[ She nods solemnly. ]

I hope so. It looks really bad out there and I don't want to see anyone else get hurt.

Honestly, it wouldn't surprise me. All the crap in the cities could've easily pissed a bunch of them off.

It would make sense. I know I wouldn't be happy if someone messed with my environment like that. I wonder how the cities got so full of trash? Isn't there a garbage man?

I've never seen so much of it before. Seriously, how is there even that much of it to put in one place?

I don't know, but it doesn't sound natural. I just wish there was something I could to help right now. If the Pokémon are this upset, we should be doing something instead of nothing. Anything!

[ Because sitting around waiting for things to get better doesn't sit well with her. She really wants to help. ]

There's not much that can be done, is the problem.

[There's a hint of frustration to his tone.]

Yeah. I guess all we can do for now is hope that the cities get cleaned up and the storm lets up soon.

[ Or get sat on by a friend's Pokemon because it's too dangerous to go out and try to help people, in Hikaru's case. ]

Yeah.

[or in Ryner's case continue to get drenched and hope the storm ends soon because his idiot best friend decided not to listen to the Absols, but details.]
