☆40☆ [Video/Action for Blackthorn City, backdated a day or so because... yeah uh... yeah]

[So today, from the 'gear of a certain lazy mage, comes a video not of said mage or any member of his menagerie... but of a certain work-a-holic king.

With a Swablu on his head.

Oh, by the looks of things he's trying to get the bird off his head, but every time he tries to swat it off, it just hops and dodges out of the way before settling back down immediately after. I guess it likes Sion's hair.

Of course, most of what the 'gear's microphone is picking up? Ryner's snickering.]

Guess someone really appreciates how much time you put into your hair, Sion.

[Sion looks this way indignantly.] That's not--... [and then he sees the 'gear] Ryner, are you recording this?

[And now the video quickly shifts away as Ryner tries to innocently hide the 'gear behind his back.] Of course not.

[The Swablu, having made itself more comfortable on Sion's head in his moment of distraction, gives a content "Swa~", and then the feed is cut.]

I think Swablu just really like sitting on heads. Mine used to do that all the time before she evolved.

[Yes, she's laughing a little, but it's largely because she knows exactly how it feels to be in that position.]

Once your swablu evolves it'll be too big to sit on your head, that's something to look forward to if it bothers you too much.

I'm sure he'll be looking forward to that, then. ...Though, how big will it get? I mean, if it likes his head that much, it might keep trying anyway...

Big enough that mine can fly me places, so they get pretty big.

[...and now he's envisioning a cottonball bird the size of a Noctowl trying to sit on his friend's head. Ow.

even if Noctowls are like a foot bigger but details]

That big... In that case, I kind of hope it grows out of it, for Sion's sake.

Now all she does is rest her head on top of mine somtimes, but that's not so bad.

It's hard to believe that something so small can become something so big sometimes.

Yeah, there are a lot of kinds like that. They start out small, but then they end up so much bigger.

That's Swablu's evolution, then?

I'd heard about it, but it's seeing it for yourself is really something else.

That's right. Swablu evolve into Altaria, switching from normal/flying to flying/dragon. They're pretty neat, if you ask me and I don't mean just because of their cleaning habits either.

Seems like it. Looks like Sion's managed to pick up another good partner, then.

That's right. I know it might take some getting used to, but I don't think he'll regret it.

[Sion doesn't have to catch that Swablu as far as she can tell, looks to Rinoa like that Swablu caught him first.]

Even if he does end up regretting it, it's too late now. Pretty sure it likes him.
