☆46☆ [Video/Action] [Backdated to November 27]
[ ONE WEEK PRIOR ]
Rose didn't exactly make it a big secret that she didn't like Marian. At all. Oh, her dear partner had forgiven her for what she'd done, sure, and it's not like she'd done anything really really horrible like try to kill people with her dear partner's hands like the fake that lived in his head all the time but was usually banished, but the Yamask had still replaced her dear partner as a fake for two days and made her so so worried and there are just things that you don't forgive, okay! And obviously the most mature way of dealing with party members you don't like is by giving them the silent treatment as much as possible.
(Not that Marian could really blame Rose, of course. And that was fine, she knew she'd have a lot to make up for, if it was even possible. Just being permitted to go with them was enough for now.)
That made it all the more surprising, of course, when Rose eventually did decide to approach Marian with a proposition, of sorts.
"Don't get me wrong," Rose said, not quite managing completely to hide uncertainty behind a wall of attitude. "There's no way I'll ever forgive you for what you did to my dear partner, ever. But if you do this, then maybe I'll actually accept you as another one of his partners."
"What is it?" Marian asked, not out of any desperate need for acceptance but rather out of curiosity.
"...Can you... teach me how to bake a cake?"
The Yamask's expression lit up. "What kind of cake?"
The Clefairy's also lit up despite herself. "A big cake! With lots of chocolate and dango and good things! It's for Ryner's Day, so it has to be really really good for my dear partner."
"Ryner's Day?"
"The birthday I gave my dear partner. It's only a few days from now."
"Well of course I can teach you! Hang on, I'll get together a list of what we'll need."
And so it went. Preparations included getting Elfy to turn into Ryner while he was napping and use his form to go buy supplies at the store, but of course the Ditto had no argument with that... (The actual celebration, incidentally, was supposed to be the 26th but ended up delayed because everything was crazy and Rose didn't want it forgotten in the crossfire.)

[So this video comes courtesy of an Eevee stepping on the 'gear, as evidenced by the swish of said Eevee's tail as she runs past. It's not a great angle, but the camera is on the ground pointed upward toward a desk.
A desk which a certain lazy mage is leaned over on, napping, as he does.
...Well, except that a) he's not quite asleep, and b) he's not leaning on the table, really... more like the three-and-a-half-foot-long fluffy fire caterpillar that is on said table. For the record, though, the Larvesta seems totally fine with this.]
...still dunno where you came from, but you make a great pillow, y'know?
["Vest~" The Larvesta yawns.
"Vee~ Vee~" And then the Eevee starts tugging at Ryner's robe.]
Ahh, Jiru, I'm trying to nap here...
["Veeeeee~" But grandpa~ there's something you need to come see~]
...can't it wait...?
["Veeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee~"]
...fine...
["Lar?" Ryner pushes himself up, and the Larvesta also stretches and gets up, curious as to what's going on.
Before he leaves to follow his Eevee, though, he picks up the 'gear that's on the ground and sighs.]
...okay seriously, you guys have got to stop pulling this out of the bag and turning it on like that.
