Three years, huh. Kind of hard to believe it's been that long.

[It's probably not really all that surprising to see Ryner leaning on an open book on top of a desk while lazily examining some sort of CD-ish thing, though he certainly looks far more relaxed than he had all October. (Gee, I wonder why that could be.) To the side of the camera - probably elsewhere on the desk - there is the sound of someone intently drawing something with some sort of pen; meanwhile, there is an Absol sitting next to Ryner leaning his head against his trainer's chest (and receiving scritches), while a Joltik in a tiny top hat (...yes) is curled up between his neck and his shoulder blade.]

I guess it hasn't been a total waste of time, anyway. And, well, I can think of worse situations to be stuck in for years on end...

Haa, though, it'd be nice if bothersome stuff didn't keep leading up to Rose's birthday like this. Seriously, what the hell is with October, anyway? Especially this year. I'm really finding it hard to believe all of that was just a dream - even considering and despite everything I've seen. I mean, if anyone else's got any thoughts on what that was, I'd love to hear them, 'cause I have no idea, but...

["Fairy!" Rose chimes in a little, though mostly to get her dear partner's attention, and Ryner turns his attention briefly toward the Clefairy who is apparently the one who's been drawing off screen. After a moment, he smiles (though in a somewhat embarrassed way), turning the camera to show off what Rose has done - it's a many colored pen drawing of Ryner casting Izuchi like some kind of exalted wingless angel while moonlight shines down on him from above. ...In the style of a Clefairy with the skill of approximately a kindergartener, but.]

Ahh, that's really good, Rose! Even if it's a little much, honestly... and it kind of proves my point...

["Clef clefairy~" Rose is quite proud of herself as she clutches her new pen - one of those cool ones with several different colors of ink that you can choose between, which has a rose-quartz flower tassel at the end to mark it as hers and because it was fitting - and perhaps even more so when she unexpectedly puts the pen down and leaps into Ryner's arms.]

W-Wait, Rose, what are--GAAH!

[The 'gear is dropped onto the desk with the video pointed toward the ceiling, and there is the sound of a chair and its occupants crashing to the ground.]

...If you want a hug, Rose, you don't have to do that, y'know...

[The feed stays on for a moment before the Joltik (still in a top hat) scuttles on over, peers cutely at the camera for a moment, and then turns it off. Ryner will be a minute, after all. Falling over in chairs hurts.]

[Crocker replies to Clefairy in an ominous tone and ends with an exclaimtion. While the man sort of twitches his body in an obscenity manner.]

Hello little - FAIRY!

A few months, I think... Haven't heard of much longer than that, though.

Ahh, but she knows a lot of stuff. Naturally she mostly learned some Normal-type support-type moves... and a lot of ways to hit me... but I've also taught her a bunch of elemental TMs. She's pretty amazing.

["Clef?" Rose isn't really sure she likes the way you're greeting her, sir...]

How is it you know that people are no longer here?

Oh? What kind of elemental TMs?

[Crocker appears to asking that question more to the Clefairy more than the trainer. Clefairy has all the right to feel that way, as Crocker is staring at Rose the man's glasses gleam.]

When you've been around as long as I have, you see a lot of people come and go. [Ferris...]

As for what kinds she knows, there's a lot of them. Let's see... Flamethrower, Water Pulse, Ice Beam, Hidden Power, Thunderbolt... She might be able to learn Thunder, too. Haven't tried yet.

["Fairy?" Rose looks up at Ryner excitedly, half because she wants to ignore this strange man he's talking to and half because that's implying he's thinking about teaching her that TM in his hands!]

But how do you know that someone is gone?

[Crocker looks at Clefairy rather wide-eye, impressed as his fingers plot.]

I have to say those are rather impressive moves.

[Denzel watches Rose look at the TM in Ryner's hands.]

These 'so called' TMs, how do they work?

You can't find them anywhere, even though they were just there an hour before. Trying to call them on the pokegear claims that they don't exist. And a lot of the time, their pokemon end up given to the people they knew.

...Ahh, as for TMs, usually you take it, put it over their head, and break it. Somehow, that's how they learn it.

[Crocker is oddly silent for a moment before the man mumbles to himself. As well as, fiddles with a small Pokeball between his fingers.]

Than that would explain - [Why Crocker hasn't heard from Snake for awhile. At that moment Denzel tries to connect the other using the Pokegear.]

...I'm not sure how to feel about this. [Considering they where only acquaintances. Denzel's glasses gleam slightly for a moment, yet still they where acquaintances and the other man maybe must had liked Denzel to leave their Pokemon for Crocker.]

Mmm, that's something else to research into, yes.

[So, much to learn and so little time!]

Where is your location?

[May seem random but not entirely as Crocker's eyes seem to shift over to Clefairy.]

Someone you know disappeared, I guess? Sorry to hear it.

As for where I am...

[Rose tugs his sleeve, and he glances toward her, her expression telling him that she really isn't sure about this guy.]

...ahh, I'm not sure why you'd want to know, honestly...

Thank you? [Crocker gives the stranger a perplexed look before stating.] I guess so...

[Crocker appears to remain at the same distress level. After all, they wheren't that close.] I suppose I should't be surpised...

[His eyes widen and calls Turner on his Pokegear or at least is making sure that Timmy is listed and breathes a sigh of relief before Crocker stares at Lute even more.]

You're sorry?! Well, that's a first.

Huh? Just curious. I don't recognize where you are.

[There is that and Clefairy, obviously.]

Well, why wouldn't I be? I mean, it always sucks when someone you know leaves.

[He considers for a moment, then gives Rose a scritch.]

Haa... well, we're in Ecruteak. Not sure for how long, though.

[Crocker stares at Lute in silence before mumbling to himself.] Yes, it does and even worse when you're employeed by them...

[Denzel clears his throat.]

I don't know. I've never gotten this before. The sentiment is appreciated however. Even if I, Mr. Crocker did barely know this person who left.

Ecruteak?! That's one of my places to travel list! Ha!

[There's a short pause.]

Oh, why is that?

Even if you barely know someone, it gets lonely when they leave, right?

Ecruteak's a nice place. It's got a lot of history, and it's nice and quiet, too. Ahh, my friend and I kind of wander, though. And we've been here for a while, so who knows when he'll decide he wants to go somewhere else.

Well - Yes, I suppose.

[Denzel mumbles in bitter distastment.]

But I'm use to it.

[Crocker on the other hand is still eyeing that Clefairy for just a tad too long before breaking eye contact.]

So, I've heard about it's history of legendary Pokemon.

Tell me, why do you roam?

Why? Ahh, because we feel like it, mostly. Different libraries have different books, after all, and besides, I'm kind of used to traveling, so...

BECAUSE!

[Denzel snaps with his temper as he grins and shows some of his teeth while his lips curl in a nasty way. People. Can't trust em to stay with you. At the very least it wasn't the worst as Denzel hadn't bonded very much with Snake.]

...Still... It's interesting that he left me one of his Pokemon, yes.

Exactly FAIRIES!

[That exclaimation just came out of nowhere. Denzel side eyes, as he does there's a bit of a gleam in his eye.]

I see. So, you know how to travel in elements?

More or less. Ahh, it's less of a pain when the weather's clear, but sometimes you can't avoid it. It sucks waiting out a storm in a tent, though.

[Denzel mumbles to himself]

I wish mother had let me join the Squirrel Scouts.

[Before his vocal returning to his usual.]

So, you walk around everywhere with a tent on your back?

And how do you 'wait' a storm out in a tent?

By huddling in it and complaining about how bothersome it all is, mostly.

[this may or may not be a joke]

[Denzel nods his head with a frown. Seems reasonable before switching over to a just a tad of smile.]

Griping about life can't see anything wrong about that. That's why life exists.

[There is something paricular though, it's as if he's not traveling at all.]

It exists just to be complained about, huh? That'd explain a lot.

Life exists to complain about.

Guessing you've had a pretty sucky life, if you're that cynical about it.

Gee, you think? Speaking of which that was sarcasm.

[There's a small beat.]

So your - CLEFAIRY! Did you capture her at Mt. Moon?

No, she was my starter.

[There Crocker goes on eyeing Ryner rather creepy like on how Denzel eyes Turner.]

I see.
