[Today, in a grassy field... somewhere... there is a bed. It is a large bed, and it looks like it is quite fluffy and comfortable.

It is also walking. Albeit slowly, and only once in a while, and only around the general area. The way it bends slightly at the end when it's stopped, it's almost like it's grazing or something. But surely there's no such thing as a living bed, right?...

Well, either way. There is a certain lazy mage taking a snooze on said grazing bed, along with several odd creatures. (There are two of that last one.) ...Also his Joltik in a top hat, but that's not too much of a surprise, honestly.

...Also, if anyone is curious, there is also a ghost girl sitting under a nearby tree, setting up a picnic.]

*...you know, he's actually momentarily too dumbfounded by the bed to immediately wake Ryner up*

[He may be sleeping soundly, but his instincts do notice. They notice a voice.

They notice that he knows that voice.

They notice that that kind of voice means danger.]

AAAAAAAARGH!

[And so even though he isn't quite awake, he does manage to dodge.

The poor living bed is not so lucky, however, and yowls with pain as the sword scores a direct hit. The pokemon on the bed wake up startled and scramble out of the way just in time.]

[It is a lovely bed-cow-thing, isn't it?]

[ and there is a tennis boy, perched on the corner of your sentient, grazing bed.

he's going to cuddle an espurr, just because he can. ]

So it really happened.

[Ryner kind of shifts a little in his sleep.

The bed makes a happy-ish sound that's almost like a cow moo-ing.]

but that doesn't change the fact that you're slacking off and CLEARLY this cannot be allowed to stand

which means that after a moment's thought you're getting an empty pokeball chucked at your head :)*

[ gently pets the cow.... bed. ]

Do you want an apple?

[ yes, he is talking to... a mooing bed. and he's holding out an apple downwards. ]

Hello again. I wasn't expecting to be back, but I should've remembered that this place has a way of trumping expectations.

It certainly does have a knack for that, doesn't it?

[The bed moos gratefully and takes the apple gently from your hand. ...It's hard to tell exactly where, because it's not like the bed has a head really, but.]

[ as if the lack of a visible head has ever intimidated fuji. nothing really intimidates fuji. he just laughs a little, and watches the bed take the apple. ]

He's a bit heavy, isn't he. Thanks for carrying him around for this long.

but he just grimaces, groans a little, and turns over in his sleep]

Haha, thank you. I plan to. [ and he glances over with a smile. ] There's something really nice about seeing familiar faces.

As opposed to suddenly waking up alone in a strange world, you mean?

Well... I think I've enough of that for a lifetime.

[ waking up at route and spending nearly a year and a half there really broadened his horizons-- but he really does like where he's from. ]
