[So someone has decided to make a fort of blankets and pillows in the corner of the bedroom, and despite a certain Clefairy tugging at his pant leg to try and get him to come out, he's not budging.]

No way, Rose! Every time this happens, I get buried in crap or something else bothersome happens! I'm just gonna wait it out until everything calms down, and nothing annoying's gonna happen.

[Care to glitch into his room and prove him wrong?]

Pretty sure there's still a couple sheets in the closet.

Yup. Even brought some food in so I don't have to go downstairs.

["Sol!" Yes, that is a scythe beast leaping in between the newcomer and his papa's pillow fort, because that is a sword and you feel dangerous and he's not about to let disaster strike here.

"Clef?" A pink thing is poking her head out from beneath the blankets of the pillow fort, temporarily abandoning her attempts to pester her dear partner in lieu of curiosity about what she just heard... and who exactly she's seeing, now that she is. Who is this and what is he doing here, Sion and her dear partner weren't expecting guests, right?

The person in the blanket fort isn't budging, of course.]

Nope, still not coming out.

*yeah so that sword? Totally getting drawn with literally inhuman speed when he sees that.... monster thing leaping out, though fortunately Mika doesn't attack. Yet.*

Who's there? Are you responsible for this?

[The good (?) news is, Jehra has learned well from his papa and won't attack unless his opponent makes the first move. Or if he's given permission. He still lets loose a low growl though, and brandishes his head scythe - don't you even dare.

Rose, seeing the sword and deciding that can't be good, wriggles out the rest of the way from the blankets and, with a "Clef clefair..." starts summoning up a Thunderbolt, ready to cast just as soon as she gives the word.

Ryner, however...]

Hey, hey, hey! What the hell is this??

[The too-familiar sound of a sword being drawn is enough to get him out of his blanket-fort, it seems.]

Who the hell are you and what the hell are you doing pulling out a sword in our house???

*that's definitely good for the Absol, at least, since Mika is at least waiting to see if he find out what's going on here before he attacks anything, himself. Ryner's appearance is just met with a cold stare, however, taking in the scene*

Are those monsters your doing, human?

*...because clearly that's the most logical explanation here*

[...Oh. Good. You called him 'human'. All arguments over how accurate that is aside, why does he get the feeling this is going to go poorly.

His brow furrows at 'monsters' though. Because while on the one hand yes, that is what Pokemon means, it's not exactly a word with good connotations with him okay.]

They are my partners, and I'll thank you not to go attacking them with a sword in our house. And both of you, just chill out, okay?

[Rose hmphs and stops her cast, but still looks at the newcomer warily. Jehra looks up at his papa with a question, but while he doesn't stop the defensive stance, he brings his head scythe up to a position that is less actively hostile.]

There. Now you, and we'll talk this out without being at each other's throats.

[He looks your way, specifically in the direction of your sword.]

They were the ones doing the attacking.

*but fine, fiiiine, he'll put the sword away. It's not like he can't take on an ordinary human--and probably a couple of small monsters or whatever they are too--without a weapon anyway. His expression and stance don't relax, though; he clearly wouldn't be surprised if he were attacked at any moment*

Then you're claiming you had nothing to do with bringing me here?

Jehra wouldn't have reacted if he hadn't sensed a threat, and Rose only started because you pulled out your sword.

[Ryner, however, does relax a little. (Is he really? Is he pretending? He looks super genuine in doing so...)]

But thanks, for putting it away. As for why you're here, sorry to say this is just what happens this time of year. ...Ahh, well, I mean, people end up here all the time anyway, but this time of year especially. It's just this damn country, pulling people from all sorts of worlds again. I was hoping to avoid this crap this time, but obviously the blanket fort didn't work...

*if he hadn't already been stuck in a giant hollowed-out tree before, he'd find that explanation pretty hard to believe, but as it is...*

*not that he's trusting you at all yet, and still definitely giving wary looks in the absol's direction*

Sometimes. You probably will once this thing ends, it tends to only last a couple days. If you'd gotten here any other time of year, it'd be more of a question - I've been here five years, and there's no sign of my going home yet.

*Jehra reminds Mika far too much of some kind of miniature Horseman or something for him to be entirely okay with all this...*

*probably not, which is why Mika hasn't tried to kill it yet. But he can't quite rule out the possibility that the Hyakuya Sect or others like them came up with some OTHER thing*

Pokemon. Pocket Monsters, it's kind of a combination of the two words. Rose is a Clefairy, Jehra's an Absol.

[he motions toward each one in turn as he introduces them]

And there are hundreds more types where they came from, but these two, as well as about half the other ones in this house, are my partners, so. You keep your sword in its sheathe, and we should have no problem.

Haa? That sounds like something from a video game.

*not that he can think of any examples of such in particular since he never exactly had a chance to play many, but still!*

As long as they don't cause any trouble, I don't care.

...Ahh, though, if you want a place to stay until you're sent home, we've got a couple extra bedrooms. And I'm sure Sion wouldn't mind having a guest, as long as you're civil. Marian never minds another mouth to feed, especially when she's in her original form like this...

["Fairy?" Rose looks up at Ryner like are you sure about this?]

[Well someone is not going to leave his blanket fort just for that. That would be silly. (Though that might be an exasperated exhale...)

*he might have just ignored that remark, but that last bit... well, clearly this human has no idea what he's trying to offer. Which is to say yeah, pausing and glancing back at that bit about food*

I don't need any of that. Besides, it's better if I'm not around humans.
