Okay, you know something?

[A certain lazy mage is grumpily sitting up in a tent right now, shivering a little and positively drenched. There's a Clefairy leaning up against his side, wrapped in a towel. The rain batters hard against the outside of the tent, though perhaps not as hard as it could - trees do tend to give a little bit of extra shelter against the wind and rain. Not much, mind, but a little.]

There are Pokémon that can control the weather, right? I'm just thinking, maybe a bunch of them caused this storm because they got so pissed off at all the crap in the cities. It's possible, right? I mean, well, I guess it could just be a coincidence, too, but...

...Haa, well, either way, it's just my luck that we'd get a bothersome storm every time I go through this forest, isn't it. This really sucks.

But even so... he has claimed credit for at least two incidents, hasn't he? They may have been easily thwarted, but I wonder if what he may do by accident would be more dangerous than his actual plans...

And of course, it's certainly suspicious that he the only person outside of this "Team Rocket" who's been committing such acts.

No guarantee he isn't a part of it and just denying it. He did demand the release of any imprisoned members back when he attacked the Academy, after all. Don't know who would bother with that if they weren't at least connected somehow.

Exactly. Besides, it seems like an established organization like that wouldn't be inclined to let rogue elements do as they pleased in their territory.

Yeah. Even if he's not a member of the organization, they'd want him to align with them so they knew he wouldn't cause them trouble. Either that, or they'd terminate him before he could, but I'm pretty sure that's not the case.

He's been surprisingly careful about avoiding associating himself with them, however, assuming that's true. Although... since he's apparently taken an interest in you, perhaps we can use that to our advantage....
