[The video feed is providing a lovely view of... the ceiling, actually. Of a room in the inn in Cherrygrove. Apparently, it fell out of somewhere and turned on accidentally.

Incidentally, did you know that Hoothoot are 2'4" tall? I honestly didn't know that until I looked it up. They're big. In comparison, Cleffa are only one foot tall. I bring this up because...

"Hoot!"

"Cleffa~!!!"

Because there is a Cleffa who is currently having the time of her life riding a Hoothoot who is flying around the room. This angle is rather good for watching their antics. Especially when the Hoothoot isn't quite perfect with his turns and manages to bump into things, hence how the Pokégear probably wound up on the floor in the first place. Nothing's broken yet, but the key word is, of course, yet...

If you listen carefully, in the background, you might be able to hear the light sound of human snoring.]

[With his love of sleep, he can do it through anything. You might be able to hear the sound of sheets rustling a little as he rolls over.

"Hoot!!" ...And there goes the Hoothoot, grazing the side of the bedpost again.]

[Well, that's slightly different. His survival instincts are trained enough that when he hears someone specifically addressing him, he at least wakes up enough to make a response.]

[Not conscious enough to do more than that or look for the source of who's addressing him, and not enough to notice his Pokémon still keeping up their antics, but it's a start?]

[...And then it clicks, and there is scrambling as he gets up to try to stop the pair.]

O-Oi! What did I tell you two about not causing trouble?! You'd better not have broken anything!!

[And after a moment, he picks up the Pokégear that's fallen to the ground, and sits back down on the bed. He looks somewhat disgruntled - thankfully nothing's broken, but still. He now has his Cleffa on his shoulder, who is pouting a little bit.]

What a way to interrupt a perfectly good afternoon nap. I'll probably have a headache later... [He looses a large yawn here.] What a pain.

'Gail'? [Pronounced the same way, but spelled differently, not that anyone would notice the difference when speaking...

He thinks this over, then turns to where his Hoothoot has perched for the moment on the bedpost.] What do you think of being called Gail, then?

[The Hoothoot tilts his head for a moment before offering a "Hoot!" of approval.]

All right, Gail it is then. Thanks!... um... [And here is where he realizes that they never actually exchanged names.]

["Fa!" Rose used Pound on Ryner's head! It's super effective (somehow)! This sends him with a yelp face-first into the bed, where he just twitches for a couple moments.]

[He picks himself up and then gives his Cleffa a look. Rose, of course, is looking back at him all happy-go-lucky innocent and stuff.]
