Three years, huh. Kind of hard to believe it's been that long.

[It's probably not really all that surprising to see Ryner leaning on an open book on top of a desk while lazily examining some sort of CD-ish thing, though he certainly looks far more relaxed than he had all October. (Gee, I wonder why that could be.) To the side of the camera - probably elsewhere on the desk - there is the sound of someone intently drawing something with some sort of pen; meanwhile, there is an Absol sitting next to Ryner leaning his head against his trainer's chest (and receiving scritches), while a Joltik in a tiny top hat (...yes) is curled up between his neck and his shoulder blade.]

I guess it hasn't been a total waste of time, anyway. And, well, I can think of worse situations to be stuck in for years on end...

Haa, though, it'd be nice if bothersome stuff didn't keep leading up to Rose's birthday like this. Seriously, what the hell is with October, anyway? Especially this year. I'm really finding it hard to believe all of that was just a dream - even considering and despite everything I've seen. I mean, if anyone else's got any thoughts on what that was, I'd love to hear them, 'cause I have no idea, but...

["Fairy!" Rose chimes in a little, though mostly to get her dear partner's attention, and Ryner turns his attention briefly toward the Clefairy who is apparently the one who's been drawing off screen. After a moment, he smiles (though in a somewhat embarrassed way), turning the camera to show off what Rose has done - it's a many colored pen drawing of Ryner casting Izuchi like some kind of exalted wingless angel while moonlight shines down on him from above. ...In the style of a Clefairy with the skill of approximately a kindergartener, but.]

Ahh, that's really good, Rose! Even if it's a little much, honestly... and it kind of proves my point...

["Clef clefairy~" Rose is quite proud of herself as she clutches her new pen - one of those cool ones with several different colors of ink that you can choose between, which has a rose-quartz flower tassel at the end to mark it as hers and because it was fitting - and perhaps even more so when she unexpectedly puts the pen down and leaps into Ryner's arms.]

W-Wait, Rose, what are--GAAH!

[The 'gear is dropped onto the desk with the video pointed toward the ceiling, and there is the sound of a chair and its occupants crashing to the ground.]

...If you want a hug, Rose, you don't have to do that, y'know...

[The feed stays on for a moment before the Joltik (still in a top hat) scuttles on over, peers cutely at the camera for a moment, and then turns it off. Ryner will be a minute, after all. Falling over in chairs hurts.]

I didn't think that there would be fairies here! Can it fly?

...I've never seen her try, actually. I mean, she's got little wings, but...

["Clef?" Rose turns curiously to look at the camera.]

If she has wings, then certainly that means she can fly!

Oh, or maybe not... certain birds have wings but they can't fly at all, like an ostrich. And penguins! [Completely ignoring the fact that Clefairy isn't a bird.]

I guess...

[He turns to the Clefairy.] Well, Rose? You heard him. Can you?

[Rose tilts her head a moment, then shakes it. She can't fly, no. In moonlight she can hover, sure, but that's totally different.]

[Natsuki stares very intently at his PokeGear, more than a little excited to see her flutter off into thin air... but then that never happens. He pouts just for a moment, but then goes back to his cheerful self.]

That's alright. She'e still a fairy. You wouldn't ever expect to meet a creature like that in your life. And she's so cute!

["Fairy~" Well, if nothing else, Rose certainly appreciates the compliment.]

She's definitely something different, that's for sure.

Of course, you could say that for all the Pokemon here. I've noticed some of them don't even look like animals I would find in my own world! --like the one you had, the big gray one! [He's referring to Absol.] A friend of mine has one like it too.

An Absol? I've noticed a bunch of people around with them, yeah. You wouldn't see them where I'm from either, but Jehra's a good guy. Even if he worries too much sometimes. And Dusk keeps Sion from getting into trouble.

["Sol." A quiet grunt from off screen - he does not worry too much, he only ever worries when there's due cause. Not his fault that's somewhat often.]

Haru-chan said her Absol is the same way too! You wouldn't believe it with how grumpy they look though. I wonder if they're all that way? It's so funny! [These big gruff-looking Pokemon being such softies on the inside.]

Ahh, well, I can't speak for all of them. I've usually found it's better not to judge by appearance, though.

Yes, that's true! Even people are like that as well! [Though Natsuki's not really the best at that. He's too much of a lover of small and cute things, so he's bound to make better judgement of them than anything else.] --ah, I saw a little yellow thing with a hat around you as well. What exactly is it?

Hmm? Ah, that's Glen.

["Tik!" A Joltik (still in a top hat) peeks out from behind Ryner's neck. Ryner reaches up to give him a tiny scritch.]

He's a Joltik.

[Oh no, that hat is super adorable. And his Joltik is too, even though he doesn't exactly know what kind of animal it's meant to be.]

Joltik? I haven't seen one of those yet. [Natsuki takes a brief moment to check with his Pokedex.] It attaches to things and it's electric? How odd... but it looks very friendly.

He definitely is. Wouldn't hurt a fly.

[Have you ever heard a spider-tick purr? Because that's pretty much what Glen is doing.]

[That is way too weird. And strangely endearing.]

Haha, I see! And he's so small and fuzzy! I keep meeting all sorts of interesting Pokemon the longer I stay here.

Believe me, even after you've been here as long as I have, you still end up seeing new interesting ones around.

I wonder how many there are? ...what if it's hundreds?!

It's definitely at least that many.

I should make a list of which ones I want to find first. [The cuties get top priority.]

Ahh, if you need help with that, the centers have a lot of information that can help get you started...

You mean the Pokemon centers? I was told you could go there to heal your Pokemon, but I didn't know you could do that as well. Okay! I'll remember to do that the next time I'm at a center then!

They don't have everything, but they see a lot of different types come in all the time, so they have information about all of their different biologies and needs and how to take care of them. My first few months, I learned a lot working there part time.
