[Another fourth wall, another pile of critters in a field somewhere.

Only this time, instead of Larvestas or Slimes, they're cute little white blobby things. Poyomons, not that anyone would recognize them. Maybe a Pabumon here or there in the pile.

And as usual, Ryner is buried in them, though at least his head's sticking out this time, so he can breathe.]

Great. This again. Of course.

[ When none of the baby Digimon start launching themselves at her, Mimi figures it’s safe to walk on up to the Poyo-pile. She begins trying to carefully rearrange the Poyomon, in hopes that it will end up crushing this guy a little less, but it’s difficult. These things are slippery. ]

Is one of these Digimon yours? Are - are you a Chosen Child?

[ He looks a little old to be called a child, but then, everyone over the age of about thirteen looks old to Mimi. ]

[That they are. And while they're not going to really put up any fight - they're a friendly Poyo-pile - there are a lot of them.

Still, this guy seems more mildly annoyed than anything. (Also he's 24. -ish. But that hardly matters.)]

Chosen for what? ...And what's a Digimon, anyway?

What's a Digimon? These are, silly! [ She cups a Poyomon in her hands and holds it out for him to see, as though he isn't familiar by now with what his squishy captors look like. ]

And Chosen Children are chosen to save the Digital World and stuff! Though since you don't know what Digimon are, I guess you probably aren't one, huh.

[ She droops slightly. Someday she will run into another Chosen Child, but today is not that day. ]

But if you're not a Chosen Child or anything, why do you have all these Poyomon?

Because this world likes to go out of its way to give me hell, apparently. This isn't the first time I've been buried in critters that weren't Pokemon.

[One of them slides down the pile and glops onto his head. He doesn't look amused by this.]

Kids chosen to save a world, though, huh. That sounds like a pain.
