☆7☆ [Voice/Action for Goldenrod City]

So, what was it you wanted to show me?

[He could sound more interested, in theory, but oh well. It's enough that he's followed her outside the Goldenrod City limits like this, down to the very beginning of Route 34, in Rose's opinion.

The Cleffa hops off his shoulder, runs off a short distance, and returns with a large branch - it must have fallen off a tree during the blizzard a few weeks ago, probably (except that the end looks a lot more like it was cut off the tree with some kind of blade or something than anything). She sets it down, stands back a few steps, and then...

"Cleffa cleffa clef clef..."

She twirls around once while saying this, and traces a circle around her. Where the circle is traced, a line of sparkles follows, which coalesce into several shining, green leaves, hovering around her. When the circle is complete, they hover there for a couple seconds, and then when she raises her arm...

"CLEFFA!"

The leaves fly swiftly toward the branch and, like throwing stars guided by some psychic power, chop it into several pieces. When their purpose is complete, they disappear. Rose looks toward Ryner, curious to find out his opinion. (Does she look a little darker pink than usual?)

And Mr. Lazy Mage? Is actually quite impressed.]

Woah, that's amazing! I mean, the only thing I really know how to compare it to is the magic we have back home, but it takes years for most people to master a spell like that. You've gotten this far just training by yourself?

["Cleffa!" Rose is so very happy that Ryner is impressed by her! She leaps into his arms, wanting to chatter away about how she worked so very hard and how she even faced a pair of wild Drowzee that had her on the ropes at one point (though, Elfy and Gail protected her when she really needed it) but she didn't give up and she didn't run away and it was all so that her dear partner would be proud of her.

...Then she has a dizzy spell as soon as she reaches Ryner's arms, and collapses into his chest. She's even a bit warmer to the touch than usual. Naturally, he recognizes that this isn't a good thing, and pulls up a bit of his cloak to wrap her in.]

...You shouldn't push yourself this hard, Rose.

["Clef?"]

You think I don't know? You sneak out when I'm sleeping or tediously filing papers for the Pokémon Center. You made me buy that uncomfortable pillow for you, just so you'd have a punching bag - that's not very nice to the pillow, by the way, you know. And you don't sleep. See why that isn't healthy? Now you're sick.

["Cleffa clef-fa!"]

Hey, you're the one who hates how I worry more about you than myself. Take your own advice, geeze.

["Cleffa!" She tries to smack him - that's completely different, because you show complete disregard for your own well-being! - but can't quite reach due in part to exhaustion and in part to the fact that she's now tangled in cloth. Ryner just gives a small smile for a moment before rubbing the back of his head with his free arm.]

Well, I guess it can't be helped. If you're really this intent on getting stronger, then I guess I'll have to start working with you once you get better, won't I. Otherwise, you'll keep overworking yourself, and you'll get sick again.

["Clef?"

Ryner nods.]

Only after you get better, though. You need to get some rest. Honestly, you're almost as bad as Sion!

["Clef~" She laughs for a moment before snuggling into his arm. She'll accept that she needs sleep.

And now he heads back to the inn, because it's too cold out here, and it's important to get her to a nice, warm bed so she can get some rest.]

[Once he's back at the inn, here's where the voice message starts.]

So, um... Question. Would it be a good idea for a Pokémon to have soup? I mean, I guess I'm not sure if it is for Rose to have dango and yet she loves that, but...
foolishwren: like what if you tried to sue obama and you just got a letter back saying "no" and he came to your house and did the worm (can you even sue the president)

Why wouldn't it be? Seems like they can eat most human food just fine, and it's not like soup usually has anything in it that's not your basic meats and vegetables...

Ah, I guess that's probably true... I just wanted to be sure it won't get her sicker than she's already gotten herself.

My Pokemon eat just about anything, so I think soup is okay.

I figured that was probably it, but I just thought I'd get another opinion - don't want to make her sicker by accident, after all... Thanks, though.

You're welcome!

You should let them taste test on what kind of food they like.

That might be a good idea...

I'm not that good of a cook, though.

You can buy candy, those herb things from the Underground, spicy chips from the vending machine and stuff!

[ video ]

[identity profile] alpha_stigma.livejournal.com 2011-01-12 08:00 am (UTC)(link)
'Vending machine'? ...Ah, is that what you call those large boxes that you put coins in and they give you something?

[Yeah... It's been two and a half months, but he's still derping a bit about technology.]

[ video ]

[identity profile] photonsaber.livejournal.com 2011-01-12 10:03 pm (UTC)(link)
Yup. It's pretty convenient when it's really late and stuff.

[ video ]

[identity profile] alpha_stigma.livejournal.com 2011-01-13 05:10 am (UTC)(link)
Hmm... You're sure it's okay to eat what comes out?

[ video ]

[identity profile] photonsaber.livejournal.com 2011-01-13 05:15 am (UTC)(link)
Well... They're there to be eaten, right?

[ video ]

[identity profile] alpha_stigma.livejournal.com 2011-01-13 05:36 am (UTC)(link)
But how long have they been inside that box? Well, normally I wouldn't really mind, if it was just for myself, but food that's that old tends to get people sick, right?

[They do not have potato chip bags in Roland.]

[identity profile] photonsaber.livejournal.com 2011-01-13 05:46 am (UTC)(link)
The ones in Goldenrod get changed every two days!

[ video ]

[identity profile] alpha_stigma.livejournal.com 2011-01-13 08:15 am (UTC)(link)
...Huh. That doesn't sound that bad, then.

[ video ]

[identity profile] photonsaber.livejournal.com 2011-01-13 05:05 pm (UTC)(link)
So you should definitely give it a try, Mister. The Department Store is pretty great!

[ video ]

[identity profile] alpha_stigma.livejournal.com 2011-01-14 03:51 am (UTC)(link)
I think I will. Thanks for the advice.

No problem! I know a lot of things about the Goldenrod Store, so you can ask me anything about it.
