☆19☆ [Video/Action for Ecruteak]

[Well. This is a possibly familiar scene, this evening. A certain lazy mage is slumped over his desk as though he'd really like to go to sleep soon please and thank you. But then, this is typical.]

So, uh... I was thinking of maybe getting a plant. Not a Pokémon, just some kind of normal, flowering plant in a pot. Something small that Rose could take care of - I'm thinking, maybe she'd be a bit more careful when she attacks me indoors if something of hers might get hurt in the crossfire by accident, you know?

But I don't actually know all that much about plants. Um... I mean, I'm pretty sure you need to give them water and sunlight, right? I've never actually taken care of one before, so... And, well, I'm not sure what kind to get, either. I mean, it'd probably be best to get something that'll stay small, because we do travel sometimes, and it'd be a pain to bring something too big along... And something easy to take care of.

Um... So, if anyone has any suggestions, I'd... mmm?

[He turns to look downward, because he is receiving a tug at his pants leg.]

Ah? What is it, Jiji?

["Vee! "Vee!" The microphone somehow manages to pick it up despite the table in the way, but evidently Ryner's Eevee wants him to come see something. He sounds excited.]

All right, I'll come see, hang on.

[And the video ends.]

[A few minutes later, outside of Ecruteak's inn.]

All right, so what did you want to show me... Jiji?

[Ryner looks around, because he could have sworn that Jiji was just in front of him two seconds ago, but now he's nowhere to be found.

"Eevee!"

"Iggly!"

...Well, that would be Jiji and Kaile's voices coming from the roof of the inn. Ryner barely has time to question just how the Eevee got up there so quickly (let's blame Kaile using his ninja-ness) before suddenly! From the roof! An Eevee leaps off with an Igglybuff on his back, their forms silhouetted in front of the full moon.

And then they both start to glow.

By the time they set foot on the ground, they are no longer an Eevee and an Igglybuff...

"Umbreon!"

"Jigglypuff!"

...but have evolved. Jiji, now a sleek, black Umbreon, smiles up at Ryner with a determined grin as his rings glow in the moonlight, and Kaile, now a round, puffy Jigglypuff, looks up with the same detached smile that he's always had.

Ryner, after getting over the initial surprise, smiles.]

Congratulations, you two.

[...and then he's suddenly on the ground, tackled by attack!Umbreon seeking attention as usual.]

Or if you don't want something quite so prickly, anything with waxy leaves should be fine, too. I'd personally suggest an Aloe vera.

They are, aren't they. [He sounds slightly overwhelmed, but happy about it anyway.

"Breo!!" And the Umbreon on his lap is certainly very happy. Especially because he's getting petted behind the ears!]

I didn't either. He just sort of did.

[Not that he's complaining. And not that Jiji's complaining either, though that could have to do with the fact that ~he is being petted and getting all the attention oh yes this is awesome~]

So Eevees evolve into that, huh? Do you know what made him evolve like that?

Not sure. I mean, I don't think it was because he trains so hard, because those have usually happened right after a battle. But, ah, well, he, Kaile, and Rose all evolved after bringing me outside to see, so maybe there's something similar about them?

A plant? You may fare well with an azalea. It won't require too much sunlight but it's an adaptable sort of flower.

Ah, really? Not needing much sunlight sounds like it could be good... Are they easy to take care of, other than that?

They're very easy. It handles harsh weather changes easily, and they're very tough plants.
