[Today, dear network, the 'gear is turned on not by its lazy mage owner, but instead by his Clefairy.

His Clefairy, who looks incredibly pleased with herself as she peers brightly into the camera.

"Clef clefairy fairy~" Look what everyone did~ It's not very long before she turns the camera toward a pile of eggs.

...A. Large. Pile of eggs. 40 of them... well, 39, discounting the one Eevee egg that's being rolled off and hidden under the bed by a certain Umbreon, but still. Lots of different types, too, by the look of it. o_o

Clearly, two certain someones are going to be thrilled when they get back to see all of this...]

[PHOTO about... half an hour later or so?]

[A bit later, there's a photo of a hand-written sign next to the pile of eggs, because hell if Ryner has the patience to attempt to type it out. At least the handwriting is legible?]

enjoymyatelier: but what would that even do. (gradients of babylon...?)

[...

Really, he probably shouldn't, but he's been wanting to try out different methods of training once he gets to the point where his original team is maxed out, and since bred Pokemon come with perks, he'd rather have that than some wild-caught thing...

but...

ugh money management though]

What about the Nidoran is worth P500? They're relatively common in the wild, aren't they?
dreamsofahero: (blah blah blah)

[personal profile] dreamsofahero 2012-09-10 01:04 am (UTC)(link)
Well, for one thing, it saves you the trouble of having to go out and catch it in the first place...
enjoymyatelier: i am just done with this shit (ugh whatever)

[personal profile] enjoymyatelier 2012-09-10 03:00 am (UTC)(link)
It really doesn't seem like that much trouble to catch a Nidoran, of all things.
dreamsofahero: (you were saying?)

[personal profile] dreamsofahero 2012-09-10 03:02 am (UTC)(link)
Then wouldn't you have one already, if it's so simple?

Besides, those that come from eggs generally inherit additional moves their parents were taught, as I understand.
enjoymyatelier: maybe he should check the foundations, come to think of it. (red car. good point.)

[personal profile] enjoymyatelier 2012-09-10 03:23 pm (UTC)(link)
I am admittedly considering that as well, but only catching a wild one wouldn't work as well for my purposes.

[...that second point's admittedly part of the reason he wanted to pick one of these out. If he's going to pick up some kind of fodder Pokemon now that he has better ones, he's at least going to want it to have GENERATIONS.]

What moves would these Nidoran be likely to have inherited?
dreamsofahero: (pondering)

[personal profile] dreamsofahero 2012-09-10 04:18 pm (UTC)(link)
Well, I haven't looked up what all they can learn, but given what I taught Lord and Lady, probably Strength, Rock Smash, and Poison Jab, at the least...

*....yes, yes these are nidoran eggs from a nidoking and nidoqueen named "Lord" and "Lady", if that makes things any better/worse*
enjoymyatelier: maybe he should check the foundations, come to think of it. (red car. good point.)

[personal profile] enjoymyatelier 2012-09-11 03:43 pm (UTC)(link)
[...he's got really pretentious names for all his Pokemon okay he has no room to judge

except he will

because that's just kind of cheesy]

Those should be useful, at the very least. I'll admit, I'm fairly interested in the concept, although I haven't experimented with it too much myself.

[...because it's weird]
dreamsofahero: (in a good mood)

[personal profile] dreamsofahero 2012-09-11 04:40 pm (UTC)(link)
*they also love to fight with each other. Sion feels this makes the names appropriate somehow :3*

Well, Strength and Rock Smash are two of the moves that can otherwise only be obtained from challenging and defeating the gym leaders. I believe the Pidgeys ought to know Fly, for that matter.
enjoymyatelier: maybe he should check the foundations, come to think of it. (red car. good point.)

[personal profile] enjoymyatelier 2012-09-12 04:07 am (UTC)(link)
Is that so? Well, that certainly does make them more valuable than they would otherwise be.

[...that Pidgey might be useful but Pidgeys though]
dreamsofahero: (polite laughter)

[personal profile] dreamsofahero 2012-09-12 04:10 am (UTC)(link)
*yes but pidgey eventually evolves into pidgeot and pidgeot is badass and totally one of the most regal of the non-legendary birds*

Precisely. I take it you're interested, then?
enjoymyatelier: maybe he should check the foundations, come to think of it. (red car. good point.)

[personal profile] enjoymyatelier 2012-09-13 12:29 am (UTC)(link)
[he already has an early-route normal-type bird! that and let's be real here Staraptor's the best of those]

I am, yes.
dreamsofahero: (just talking)

[personal profile] dreamsofahero 2012-09-13 12:35 am (UTC)(link)
*well, this could make a good mate for it? pfft staraptor's just a wannabe, pidgeot's bigger, better-looking, and all-around cooler*

In just a nidoran, or...?
enjoymyatelier: king arthur with insubstantial tits was right theeeeere (but sooooolaaaaaaa)

[personal profile] enjoymyatelier 2012-09-14 04:55 am (UTC)(link)
[...teeempting but uh

finances... also close combat would like to have a word with you]

...Just a Nidoran, please.
dreamsofahero: (conversational)

[personal profile] dreamsofahero 2012-09-14 12:57 pm (UTC)(link)
*you could always promise to pay him back at a later date? one move does not a more awesome pokemon make. pidgeot's more regal-looking, anyway*

All right. Where should it be sent to? We can have it transferred to a pokemon center for you to pick up.
enjoymyatelier: maybe he should check the foundations, come to think of it. (red car. good point.)

[personal profile] enjoymyatelier 2012-09-16 02:41 am (UTC)(link)
[HE IS FINE OKAY okay yeah staraptor's pretty silly looking even if it's awesome to actually use]

That would be perfectly fine by me.
dreamsofahero: (generic back of head shot)

[personal profile] dreamsofahero 2012-09-16 02:45 am (UTC)(link)
*fine and yet apparently can barely afford a P500 egg, man*

Yes, but we'd need to know which one to send it to.
enjoymyatelier: maybe he should check the foundations, come to think of it. (red car. good point.)

[personal profile] enjoymyatelier 2012-09-17 01:36 am (UTC)(link)
Hmm... is there a Pokemon Center near Union Cave? I haven't seen Pokemon Centers outside of towns yet, but that seems like it would be a good place to have one.
dreamsofahero: (glancing up)

[personal profile] dreamsofahero 2012-09-17 01:39 am (UTC)(link)
There's one not far from the eastern entrance, yes; if you're on the western side you'd have to head to Azalea Town, however.
enjoymyatelier: but what would that even do. (gradients of babylon...?)

[personal profile] enjoymyatelier 2012-09-18 12:24 am (UTC)(link)
It shouldn't be particularly long before I reach the eastern entrance, then. You should probably deliver it there.
dreamsofahero: (conversational)

[personal profile] dreamsofahero 2012-09-18 01:00 am (UTC)(link)
All right, that shouldn't be difficult. And you should be able to transfer the payment the same way.

enjoymyatelier: zach. they're here. (migrane's a comin.)

[personal profile] enjoymyatelier 2012-09-10 03:02 am (UTC)(link)
I'm not asking for it for free. I'm simply curious as to whether or not there would be anything special about it, that's all.

[he's read up on egg moves, man...! he knows how this works!]
enjoymyatelier: zach. they're here. (migrane's a comin.)

[personal profile] enjoymyatelier 2012-09-10 10:38 pm (UTC)(link)
I will discuss this with him, then.
