[Today, the 'gear is turned on when it accidentally falls out of Ryner's pocket, and the video it's recording is... chaotic.

There are Omanytes and Archens everywhere, with the occasional Omastar or Archeops going past, and an Absol and Clefairy trying to go easy on them but knock them out. Jehra is just using False Swipe on them; Rose is taking this as an opportunity to practice controlling the power of her Doubleslap.

Oh, but the more interesting thing might be the Gyarados roaring in the background - a roar of both pain and fury - as she lashes and snaps at the various fossils that are trying to climb all over her. The water she's splashing around is making quite a mess.]

Fyn, you've gotta calm down! We'll go somewhere else and relax for a while, maybe have something special to celebrate, but you need to calm down!

[But the Gyarados isn't listening, instead continuing to roar and lash her tail at anything in the area, fossil or not. A large rock gets swept up in one of these lashes and flies toward Ryner unexpectedly, but a Mienfoo quickly Low Kicks it into harmless pieces.]

Thanks, Tei. ...Ahh, dammit. Fine, guess I'll have to get up there and calm you down myself, huh. Glen, can I get your help here?

["Tik!" The tiny!spider on Ryner's shoulder is ready and willing to help out with that.

An Omanyte tries to grab hold of the 'gear at this point, but a shiny Togepi notices this and pushes the Omanyte away with Ancientpower before grabbing it and turning it off.]

[It's a minute or two before the response, considering that Yohki has to get Ryner's attention and then Glen has to rope the 'gear up and then Ryner has to have enough of a grip to respond... At this point, he's on the Gyarados' back, clinging for dear life and actually with a pretty firm one despite the thrashing that the dragon is doing.]

[He climbs a little bit further up the Gyarados' neck.]

[He kicks out to knock off a couple of Omanyte that have decided to climb up and wrap themselves around Fyn.]

Not until she's calm enough to agree to it. Otherwise I'll have worse problems later.

If I do this fast enough, it'll be fine. Besides, Rose, Jehra and Glen all know Protect.

[Case and point, a large rock ends up hurling toward the Clefairy, who just uses Protect to let it bounce away harmlessly.]

[Well, in any case, Ryner's going to keep climbing up Fyn's neck now. She was a little small as a Magikarp, but it turns out she's a little on the big side as a Gyarados. ...Only by a few inches at most, but that makes a difference.]
