[So someone has decided to make a fort of blankets and pillows in the corner of the bedroom, and despite a certain Clefairy tugging at his pant leg to try and get him to come out, he's not budging.]

No way, Rose! Every time this happens, I get buried in crap or something else bothersome happens! I'm just gonna wait it out until everything calms down, and nothing annoying's gonna happen.

[Care to glitch into his room and prove him wrong?]

*yeah he's going to turn to go again, but for all the arrogance and attitude there's perhaps juuust a hint of uncertainty or hesitance in his movements this time. Because while he won't hesitate to do whatever it takes to survive, or whatever it takes to save Yu, when he's not threatened nor is there anything that seems likely to bring him closer to Yu, well, at heart he's more the type inclined to protect people more than anything*

[ BARK. BARK BARK! BARK!! Houndour stands sentinel directly across from him, standing far enough out of his reach but close enough to be kind of terrifying and obnoxious??

Peridot shows no sign of reigning him in. ]

Wh...Where the heck am I THIS TIME!?!?

[ Her words are gagged out, wheezy, and then all of a sudden at the end she finds her voice. ]

*There's a houndour barking pretty loudly up there now too. Loudly. Obnoxiously. It sounds pissed.*

Eh, probably not more than some things.

[But he won't stop you.

...There is someone on the other side who was about to open the door, though. A teenage girl with pink hair (and no shadow???), carrying in some tea. ~~I'm too lazy to dig out her separate account but you know who this is.~~]

Oh? No one told me we have a guest.

No, Marian, he's just leaving.

*what has Ryner got himself into this time....? oh well, nothing for it but to head upstairs and see!*

*well okay he's a little startled by that, since he definitely wasn't expecting to run into someone, though luckily for all the fact that he had one hand on the door handle meant he had a split second to register what was going on before he did anything silly like going for his sword again*

[Annoying and loud, yes. Terrifying, though? ...Maybe to many, but compared to a lot of what Ryner's seen, he just finds the barking Houndour to be bothersome, more than anything.

A Clefairy also crawls out of the blankets, from an area that hadn't been crushed so much, and just kind of looks around with a blink. But Ryner just holds his aching head and sits up, not bothering to look yet.]

Sion and my house. 'Cause this world really sucks sometimes...

"Somtimes?" try all the time-- WOULD YOU KNOCK IT OFF ALREADY!?!?

[ She snaps this at her Pokemon. Houndour stops barking, but still maintains a low, constant growl, bc it is ill-tempered and doesn't goddamn respect its trainer. And really, who can blame it?

Peridot knows that's the best she's going to get out of the Pokemon, with regards to obedience, and reluctantly turns back to Ryner. She's still kind of wheezy sounding. ] Can you give me a more useful answer, with regards to my location? I don't even know who you are, so, "my house"? Isn't exactly a useful bit of information.

[a small groan as he stretches his back a little]

Okay, sure. Since you've got that Houndour, I'm gonna guess you know you're in Johto. Sion and my house, here? Is in Ecruteak. Kind of northern-central part of the region. And my name is Ryner.

[He finally opens his eyes to get a look at things.]

So. Who're you, then?

[Noooot even going to bother with 'what' right now.

The Clefairy will shoot the Houndour a questioning glance, though, when it doesn't stop growling. What is its problem...?]

[Well, with a polite smile, she'll take that cue to enter - she's not that daft to stay in the doorway - before putting her platter down on the bed briefly and asking the unexpected guest, because this is Marian we're talking about...]

I see. Would you like anything to eat or drink before you go?

Marian, he's not...

*he's already heading out the door, though he glances back with a bland expression at that*

*aaand he's heading out of the bedroom, though he's pausing before going further, since boy that sure is a lot of those strange-looking critters wandering around...*

Oh...

It's not you, it's just how he is, it looks like.

["Fair..." Rose, however, looks rather impressed with their visitor just ignoring Marian like that. ...Which, when Ryner notices, he flicks her forehead for.]

[Outside the bedroom, there sure are plenty of assorted critters around, yes ^^ Just some examples of the visible-from-here ones that are specifically Ryner's, you might see:

:: some kind of bug with mushrooms on its back clutching a small stone firmly as it scuttles down the hall

:: a yellow spider-tick happily weaving a web up in the space between the bedroom door and the ceiling

:: a couple cat-things that stand on two legs and apparently have some sort of psychic powers having a 'disagreement' with a giant knife bird in the bathroom

:: ...and a giant red moth just. sitting there on a wall somewhere.

None of them seem to take notice of the mystery guest immediately though. ...Well, who knows about the moth, but you can never tell with moths.]

*yeah, that's.... interesting, and he's definitely eyeing some of those rather warily while he takes a moment to look around for the quickest way out of here*

[Well, there are the stairs down. Or I guess you could look to find a window you can jump out or something but do you want to break this guy's windows really...?

...also, with a loud thud, the moth thing just kind of falls off the wall and plops onto the ground.]

Peridot. [ That's all the explanation she gives, while she casts a critical eye around the room. ]

Ecruteak, huh.

[Pause.]

Gaahhhh, great. Just great! [ She slaps her little green hands to her face and drags them down slowly, before casting a baleful eye on Ryner. ] What do you suppose the odds are that I'll glitch right back to where I was in a few minutes so that I don't have to spend literal days making my way back to Goldenrod? [Her own tone suspects that she does not think the odds are very good.]

[Well, a name's a start.]

In my experience? Depends how nice the world feels like being to you. From here, it could be nice and send you back there, at least close. Or it could think it's being funny and send you to the top of Lavender's radio tower. Or the bottom of the Seafoam Islands. Or buried head-first in the sand in Cianwood.

Hell, even if it does send you back to Goldenrod, you might end up on top of the vending machines in the department store, or something.

You still have chores to do, you know.
