While Ryner and Sion were on a trip to Pewter to visit the museum, Rose tripped over this Carbink by accident, but it was patched up quickly. Not having seen one of this species before, though, and realizing that her dear partner doesn't have a lot of rock types, Rose invited the Carbink along (without asking Ryner first), and it obliged. Koris likes sitting on top of warm things, and in the middle of fires. No one is quite sure why. But when the stove is on, or a fire is going in the fireplace, you have to keep watch, or suddenly there will be a Carbink just happily sitting in the middle of it.
