This Popplio hatched from an egg given to Ryner by Blanche of Team Mystic in thanks for helping deal with Team Skull. Nino enjoys listening to the soundtracks of musicals, and then learning the songs so he can sing them himself. He's talented enough that he only needs to listen to the soundtrack once or twice in order to memorize it, but that just means he makes a lot of requests.
