Due to Cara Liss's machinations, everyone was suddenly transported back in time to the ancient land of Hisui. The Gingko Guild took pity on everyone and gave them a place to stay while the parts of the machine were retrieved, as long as everyone pitched in around camp. As well, everyone was given a Pokemon partner to protect them, since none of the future mons came back with their trainers. This Hisuian Growlithe was the partner assigned to Ryner. Easy-going and eager to please, Tiger Lily (or Lily for short) sees life as a fun game where the goal is to make her trainer happy with her and have a good time along the way.
